This show is a ton of fun. I have not laughed as hard in years. Highly recommended for a zany, over the top show, with enthusiastic dancers/musicians/singers and great costumes !

If I could provide zero stars I would. My son who is 16 and I showed up for this experience, checked in ahead of time, placed our items in our locker and before we were seated were told that we couldn’t come in due to my son being under 18. I politely showed one of the staff members the booking which I made months ago which made zero mention of the age requirement, I also showed the vender my conversation via Viator where I mentioned my sons age when selecting a meal. Even after showing the staff this, we were still turned away, zero refund and zero accountability on their end. I asked what made the samurai show inappropriate for individuals under 18 and I was told that this specific venue shares a stage on alternate nights with a women’s cabaret show, so because of that the entire venue is deemed inappropriate for individuals under 18 even when the cabaret show isn’t running. They truly need to BOLD and place in the title that “INDIVIDUALS UNDER 18 NOT ALLOWED” the marketing in itself screams and lures in children & teens with the vibrant colors and whimsical vibe. This was a trip for my sons 16th birthday and to run into this was a let down for the both of us. I am still waiting for a refund of $126

Might hard to find the place because sign “Gira Gira girls” bigger than “samurai restaurant”. Better make sign like “ samurai Gira gira show & foods”??

Wild show. Entertaining while and super stimulating they are performing but there is a lot of downtime of 10 min or more while they change costumes and stuff. The food was just okay. Cash only for extra drinks and souvenirs. We were at the end of our time in Japan so our cash was limited.

I went with my boyfriend, I wasnt sure what to expect, but I really did enjoy it. Lots of lights, bling, dancing, choreographed fighting. It's very OTT! It's lots of fun though.

Easily the best live show I've seen while in Japan. The performance was fantastic and I had an absolute blast! There's solid audience participation, the costumes are amazing, and honestly I think I'm going to go back and see it again before I leave. Included bento box meal was also decent, and drinks were reasonably priced (note: cash only when you get inside though). It isn't crowded either (they keep the audience size managable)... but, oh my word, it's loud lol

I'll give it 4.5 stars. The performers were really great, and the opening act is exactly what you're looking for. If you remember the old Robot Restaurant - this is in the exact same spot. It's a similar but not the same show as Robot. This one is based more on Japanese history and culture. There are a LOT of intermissions. I'd say every 5-10 minutes they take a break to set up the next scene and to allow you to buy more drinks and food. Food actually wasn't bad. There are not a ton of seats so the place doesn't feel cramped and you are like right in front of the stage - so no bad seats.

Yes—this venue is in the same location as the former Robot Restaurant, and we’re glad you felt the connection while also noticing how this show has its own theme rooted in Japanese history and culture.
We also appreciate your note about the intermissions. The short breaks are designed to reset the stage safely and prepare each scene, and they also give guests a chance to order additional food and drinks. That said, we understand that frequent breaks can feel like a lot, so your feedback is very helpful and will be shared with the production team.
Lastly, thank you for mentioning the seating and visibility—being close to the stage with no “bad seats” is something we work hard to maintain. We hope to welcome you again soon!

I had seen some videos online before I went, but nothing prepared me for what I was to witness.
The Bento Box meal was a bit of a miss, personally, but the show more than made up for it!

This show was so amazing!! My only regret is that I didn't book it sooner on my vacation, so I could come back and see it again before I left Japan. There were some added surprises (no spoilers) that added to the experience. The hosts and waitstaff were great! The performers were incredible and very talented. This is truly a must see experience. If you are a supporter and lover of the Arts. You will love this show. Book your ticket, you won't be disappointed. Venue is cash only, so come prepared if you want extra goodies while there. 10/10 recommend.
