The Pietro Canonica Museum is a house museum where the celebrated artist and musician Pietro Canonica lived beginning in the 1920s, for the last three decades of his life. You can see his private apartment, filled with 19th-century furnishings from his home region of Piedmont, as well as his workshop and an exhibition of his signature busts, portraits, and other works of art.

You’ll find the Pietro Canonica Museum in the Villa Borghese park in the Fortezzuola (“small fortress”), once known as the 17th-century hen house belonging to the Borghese family. It’s in the center of the park just off Viale Pietro Canonica, about a 10-minute walk west from the Borghese Gallery.
