* Roundtrip Transfer from most hotels located in Rio's South Zone (São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana and Leme) and Barra da Tijuca. * Please call the number on the voucher at least 24 hours in advance to reconfirm your selected activity. The pick up time at your hotel can differ by up to about 45 minutes from the above time, depending on your location. There are cases in which the provider will not be able to pick you up and so an alternative meeting point will be suggested at the time of your call.
Itinerary
Following pickup at your Rio hotel (pickup available for Downtown and South Zone hotels), meet your guide and climb into your open-top Jeep. Fasten your seatbelt and get started on the short drive to Tijuca National Park, just ten minutes' drive outside of Rio's city center.
On your drive, listen as your guide details the importance of the Mata Atlântica ecosystem — part of the vast and protected Mata Biosphere Reserve, which covers fourteen states in Brazil.
When you reach the forest, disembark for an easy, 15-30 minute hike on a gradual trail. Follow your guide to the crystal-clear cascade of Cachoeira dos Macacos and pass the picturesque waterfalls of Cascatinha.
During the Jeep tour, stop at Vista Chinesa for panoramic views of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Guanabara Bay. Look for sloths, monkeys, butterflies, and birds. Make stops at Mayrink Chapel and Emperor's Table.
When your 4-hour eco-adventure has come to a close, return to your Rio de Janeiro hotel for drop-off.

Excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and funny. Bring your camera for the bueatiful scenery. The walking is minimum and mostly flat, some mud during the walk. We missed monkeys!

Had a very informative and personable tour guide! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Truly a beautiful park. Loved the experience of being picked up as well. Tijuca was quite far from where we were staying in Copacabana and getting there via taxi would have been easy enough, but once I get to the National Park, I lose phone service. And there weren't really any taxis going through it at all. So the pick up and drop off is a great perk. Overall, a really good experience.

This tour is definitely not worth the price paid. There wasn't much to see, the waterfall was ok, it's just view points and trees. Didn't think it was worth the $105+ on Viatour. Also we booked this tour on the app for 8:30am which is the time we wanted. And they messaged to say they were not available for the morning. They refused to accommodate us for the morning that we booked. It was either a refund or take the afternoon, they didn't seem to care. We regretted shuffling our other planned activities to go tour on this tour. NOT Worth the high price, should probably be $40.
With that said, the driver and tour guide Marcia were very nice, no issues with them.

This experience is interesting and different. It roughly is a 4 hour tour which we felt May could have been condensed down to 2hours. The only negative was we thought we would be able to see some wildlife animals.

Lack of communication for travel and pick up times. I took an Uber early and was two hours ahead of the pick up time, they tole me 850a, then on another app 810a, then another 850a as a final confirmation. Pick one up and say what it is, and also no one wanted to take responsibility, Guillermo and Ricardo wrote 850am. No solution, requested a refund, they offered next day, I can't do it, that's why we plan. I lost three hours of my time in the am and they take no reaponsability. Do it with another company that has better communication, this is the issue here, and I reconfirmed 3 times mind you.

The pictures are extremely accurate. This is a great trip for nature lovers. There is a bit of explorative walking, but nothing difficult. It was a welcomed suprise.

Very bad company never book with them they never communicate properly. Do not understand English. I booked this tour waited for an hour at my hotel. Choose pickup location from the tour and was never picked up. Very upsetting wasted my whole day. On vacation time is precious, which the operator should understand.

Eddie was a great tour guide. The tour was about 4 hours in total. Our guide Eddie was very informative and gave us time to stop and take pictures and gave very detailed information on the history of the forest and country.

I wouldn’t recommend this tour group due to very poor communication. My booking details clearly stated that pick-up was at my hotel address. After waiting for several minutes, I was then told that the pick-up location was a different hotel about 15 minutes away. That hotel is not listed anywhere in the meeting or pick-up details. This caused unnecessary confusion and inconvenience and could have easily been avoided with accurate information. Unfortunately this ruined my entire morning, and with a very short vacation here, I am not able to visit Tijuca. Very unfortunate, disappointed in this company.

I loved that when I got picked up it was a jeep and we got to feel the natural breeze our tour guide was so educational on the rainforest and taught us many things and the history of the land I really enjoyed it.

I don’t recommend using this company-they didn’t show up and didn’t text or call letting us know they were not coming. It’s unprofessional to let customers pay and plan a tour and not show up. Stay away!

The guide was funny and did a great job. The tour was not at all what I thought it would be. First, why the open Jeep with tiny bench seats if we were not driving into the forest. We parked and walked the forest. We could have done that any vehicle and been comfortable. There were no animals. Only trees and plants. I guess I expected more monkeys and sloths.
The words were nice and our guide was a great guy. I’ve done Jerp tours in India and South Africa where they drive you around to find animals. This is a nature walk through the woods to look at trees and plants. Jeep was irrelevant and uncomfortable.
I didn’t feel it was worth $80 to be honest. Not the guides fault at all. Just didn’t feel it was what we’d expected.
