Best layover excursion
Great introduction to Reykjavik. We booked this during our 6 hr layover and it was perfect to see the highlights of town in a quick manner. The walk was mostldown hill and ended 20 min. Walk from the main bus terminalso we just walked back to it. Thor was very nice, informative and entertaining. Highly recommend.

Elves are, apparently, real
This was a very cool and educational experience. I love mythology and folklore and try to book a tour like this wherever I go. Even though I was already familiar with Norse mythology, I still learned quite a bit from this tour.
There was some general Norse mythology stuff just as background and reference point, but the "meat" of the tour was very much Iceland specific. You would get no complaints from me if the guide just stood there and told us stories about Odin and Thor, but the very specific Icelandic flavor of the things that were discussed and the relevant locations was very much appreciated.
I had no idea that Iceland had such a rich and unique folklore tradition that is very distinct from what comes to mind when you think Scandinavian folklore. The value of this tour was two fold.
On the one hand, there were the cool stories and getting to know more about a fascinating culture. But that part stands on its own. We could have done this bit in the pub over a few beers (future tour idea maybe?) and I would have been happy.
But the locations! The locations add a whole new aspect to this fantastic tour. I got to see more of the city proper. My lodgings were located in the touristy part of town where all the bars are, close to the big church and the rainbow street (no complaints on that front,) but I had no idea that there was a whole other part of Reykjavík that had some of the most amazing modern architecture I've seen on four continents. That should honestly just be a tour in and of itself. Love cool buildings? Let us show them to you and tell you cool facts about them! I'd book that. But I digress!
We saw some really cool sites around Reykjavík. I need to come back just to see all the museums. Every stop we made had an interesting story related to it and even if it wasn't really relevant to whatever bit of cool Icelandic folklore our guide happened to be imparting to us at that moment, it still made the story better.
Our guide told us about several Icelandic poems and lullabies. And then he sang them! He freaking sang them to us! How awesome is that? I'll tell you how awesome. Very bloody awesome!
The tour included a visit to the local cemetery, and he showed us the graves of some of his relatives, which added a personal touch to the whole thing.
At the end, we visited a secret garden. If you didn't know it was there, you'd walk right by it, none the wiser. I'm not gonna tell where it is. Book the tour and find out. Just know it's really cool.
The weather wasn't exactly THE BEST for a walking tour. It was chilly, windy, and rainy. But the rain was just a light on and off sprinkle, the wind was pretty mild, and the cold was no worse than normal. It's was all in all a normal Icelandic day. I would have just preferred it if it wasn't 😀.
Apparently these reviews have a character limit and I blew right past it so I had to revise my review. Long story short: if you're into mythology and folklore, book this tour. You'll learn a lot and want to learn more. Also, if you're building a road and there's a large, weird looking stone in the way, go around it. There's probably elves there, and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Necessary tour of Reykjavik!
Absolutely wonderful walk with Kristin, her connection to the city and Iceland in general is unique and I would guess unparalleled! We had just one day to experience Reykjavik and this was it's highlight; we roamed the history, folklore, artistry, and literature seamlessly from the ancient to the modern. Her own background/career and connection to Iceland is so impressive and leaves you wanting to come back again and explore more of this rich history!

Excellent Guide-Luca
Luca was an excellent guide. He was educational, informative, friendly and had a good sense of humor. He was thoughtful by sharing a traditional snack and drink with us. He offered to take photos for us and was patient. His background as a lawyer made our conversation interesting. We would recommend him to our family and friends.

Cat People—You need this!
Superb fun way to learn some Reykjavik history and folklore, with a fabulous feline focus. Guide Kristin was engaging, knowledgeable, and even mindful and respectful of a slower walking pace for one of the tour participants. She gave us a wonderful local family perspective, and suggestions of museums and other places to walk. Cat people, this is what you need. We saw a gorgeous shop cat, a neighborhood cat, and three sweet rescues at the Cat Cafe. You may see more. But it’s not the ‘number of cats you see,’ it’s the uniqueness of the activity. We had one day here prior to a cruise, and this was an excellent way to spend a couple hours.

This tour is nice nice baby
Lalli was an amazing tour guide. He covered the entire history of Iceland as we strolled around the centre of Reykjavik. His talk was entertaining and very well delivered, with nary a slip up. We got a tasty hot dog at an iconic stand near the end of the tour. It ran almost exactly to its stated 2.5 hour run time.

Amazing Food Tour with an amazing guide!
Fantastic way to get to know the main area of Reykjavik and enjoy different foods and hot spots of the city. Our guide, Helgi, was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable not just about food but the history of Reykjavik and its culture. He was welcoming, personable and entertaining! The different foods were incredible… even the shark!

Wonderful experience. We...
Wonderful experience. We took a lovely boat ride and our tour guide Blanca was very engaging and knowledgeable. Answer our son’s many questions and let him share his thoughts too. Both she and the captain of the ship provided great expertise and nice experience.

Fire & Ice was quite nice
I arrived too early, but that was my mistake. At opening they were hospitable and helped me navigate handicap routes. Loved the virtual volcano 🌋 and ice caves. The puffin exhibit seemed so real. Tried some beef jerky from the gift store. Regret not buying the licorice. Fun couple of hours.

A fantastic tour!
The tour operator sent us a text the night before and suggested we add on the Secret Lagoon. It was an incredible suggestion!
Our guide Sunni was amazing - funny, full of great information, talkative at the right time and quiet at the right time. And the driver Tomak did an incredible job as well.
5 of 5 stars would 💯 recommend!

Many whales and bird species!
I booked this excursion on the day four the day I arrived in Iceland. The staff and the crew on the yacht were both fantastic! The yacht itself was very comfortable. They had drinks and snacks for purchase. The guide was very informative! We were fortunate enough to see Minky and humpback whales!! We also saw porpoise and a few puffins!! the cruise was very comfortable to the harbor. We witness many sites that you can’t see from the mainland! Also, we received a 15% discount at the local restaurant for meals and drinks! It was a great way to start my Iceland venture! I would absolutely recommend this excursion, it was well worth the price!!

Beautiful
Very nice tour. This was very interesting and Eagle (Our tour guide) had a great sense of humor which made the tour more fun. He gave us recommendations on food, safes way to enjoy the black sand beach, and other tips like the water in the waterfall to freshen up. Iceland is beautiful but this side of Iceland really is sight to see. We want to visit again but in summer to better enjoy the landscapes with their green scenery since we went in wintertime. I have to admit that I was a little worried at first because of another experience with this same company where the experience was not bad but had a big room for improvement on service and I thought that every tour with this company’s was going to be the same but it turns out it was just one of those unlucky days since we had a great time and had no hiccups in this tour with Eagle.
Thank you Eagle! Hopefully when we return in summer, we get this tour with you again.
P.D. Always listen to your guide, there tips are always right, they definitely know best lol.
