Montemarte in our Hearts

This being my second time in Paris and my husband’s first Montemarte was new for both of us! Julie made this experience far better than we could’ve ever imagined so much so that we went back for our last night. Every spot she chose to share with our group was phenomenal. The food savory and sweet was beyond delicious. She taught us the history while helping us fall in love with the food and wine more than we already were. The freshness alone makes me look forward to my next trip back. I will miss the butter, the croissants, the chocolate and the cheeses. Thank you so much, Julie. Completely worth it!

The Loire Valley region is so beautiful and offers many must see destinations. This trip included visits to 3 remarkable castles, lunch on our own in an excellent local restaurant, and a wine tasting which was very fun. Our guide, Julian, was the perfect host. He was the exact right amount of information and guidance and then time to explore on our own. He was an excellent driver and a great communicator. Julian is a lifelong Parisian and he is very knowledgeable. The castles are all very unique and the gardens and surrounding grounds were beautiful to explore. This was a great value and well worth the time. We especially enjoyed the countryside after a week in the city.

Wonderful Wine!

Wonderful wines to taste with large pours and a knowledgeable host. My only complaint is that we paid for charcuterie trays for 3 and got only one small plate with only two cheeses. Solos got the same size. When we asked for more cheese, we were charged for it. I think it would make more sense to book separately.

Worth every penny!

This was such an amazing trip from Paris! Our tour guide, Aurelien, made it worth it! He was a sommelier turned tour guide and we were so well informed on our bus ride there.. when the champagne tour guide asked the group questions, only our group knew the answers!! Aurelien was amazing, fun, professional and hugely knowledgeable!! Definitely worth the extra money to have a smaller group with this caliber of tour guide.

There is just as much information about flavor combos, history and the staff is so friendly. We entered saying “I guess everyone has to have cheese and wine in Paris” and left feeling like we took a very loved college class. This is the best must try. If you are hesitant, do it! One of the best tours I have taken in France.

The small-group format (only eight guests) made the experience far more enjoyable than a large bus tour. Our guide, Frankie, was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fascinating information about the history of Champagne, the production process, and the region itself throughout the day. Highlights included visits to both a family-owned champagne house and a large producer, several excellent tastings, Reims Cathedral (an unexpected bonus), the chapel where Dom Pérignon is buried, and beautiful drives through the vineyards and countryside. What set this tour apart was the quality of the guide. As a former college professor, I especially appreciated his ability to present a great deal of information in an engaging and memorable way. At 80 years old, I have taken more tours than I can count, and this ranks among the most informative and enjoyable. If you want more than just champagne tasting and are interested in the history, culture, and production of Champagne, I highly recommend this tour.

Do not miss this experience!

It is a very relaxing and informative day. Pierre was so nice and informative! Although I was a solo traveller i felt very welcome and at home. The wines were superb. Although I knew a little about wines I was still surprised at how much the cheese pairings added to the whole taste experience! I highly recommend this tour!! Wonderful experience! Our sommelier, Clément, was incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was the most fun I’ve ever had on a wine tasting/tour. The wines were great and it was the perfect cool break on a hot Paris day. I would highly recommend! Tip- there is no food on the tour, so we grabbed a quick croissant snack before!

I have not been to many wine tastings, but someone will have to work very hard to top this one. Our guide was well versed in all aspects of the industry, from how the grapes are grown to government regulations. And she handled it all with style. We would definitely come again.

The champagne was flowing! Melanie was a great host, pointing out the sites, sharing details on the three types of champagne, and answering all questions. Normally a tour like this would be a small taste of champagne, but this was not the case! There was never and empty glass during the one hour tour.
