Yes, guided tours, sightseeing, and cruises in Paris are definitely worth it. You get expert guides who know all the best stories behind the city's top attractions, plus they handle all the logistics so you don't have to worry about getting around or waiting in line. Many tours also bundle multiple attractions together, saving you time and money.

Per one customer who booked the Paris Walking Food Tour with Secret Food Tours, "What can I say about this tour other than it was fantastic and worth every cent! Our generous and enthusiastic host was Josephine, and she was incredible. So knowledgeable about the local French cuisine—and about the history of Montmartre. The group lunch was delicious, and there was so much food, it was honestly the best experience we had in Paris."

Consider what type of experience you want and read tour descriptions carefully; a range of sightseeing tours and cruises in Paris are available, from 1-hour Seine cruises to full-day tours that head out of the city. Book early as popular tours sell out quickly, especially during the peak spring and summer seasons. Check whether tour packages include all transportation and skip-the-line access to avoid extra costs and long waits.

Dress comfortably and bring layers—you'll be doing lots of walking on most city tours, and Seine cruises can get chilly. Don't be shy about asking your guide questions; they’ll have tons of insider knowledge about the best eating spots, viewpoints, and stories you won't find in guidebooks. Keep your belongings secure in crowded areas, such as Montmartre and near major attractions, and have some euros handy for tipping your guide. Finally, arrive early to secure spots with the best views on boats and buses.
