This was the best four! Our tour guide Daniel was amazing so knowledgeable and friendly. It was like sitting in a history class the amount of facts Daniel knew but even better because you got to experience and seen what we were learning about! Daniel was not only knowledgeable but funny and personable. He told stores, made jokes, and gave recommendations. Would recommend this tour and tour guide

Normandy tour with John

Robert_L, May 2026
John with City Wonders was an amazing tour guide! He was knowledgeable and fun to listen to! He kept our attention and brought history alive with his stories and amazing sidenotes. Not only did he give us lots of information about the Normandy Beach area, but history in general that related to World War II. He provided details and certainly increased our knowledge of history during that time. In Normandy. I highly recommend requesting him as a tour guide. You will not regret it. Excellent tour. Learned a lot about the brave soldiers in D day and the atrocities they had to endure to save France and Europe from the Natzis

Great trip to Normandy!!

Scott_S, May 2026
This was a wonderful trip. John was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. The places we visited were extremely interesting and meaningful. My dad and my uncle were both in WWII. Neither came to Normandy, but it was still a good way to connect to their experiences in the war.

Highly recommend!

Ardelia_D, May 2026
Really great tour! Can’t recommend enough. It’s definitely the easiest way to get out to Normandy from Paris, and the guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable!

Good tour

Kimberly_M, May 2026
Tour guide was great. Bus was very comfortable. Sights were interesting. Lunch was not good. Long day fairly enjoyable but we would not do it again.

Great trip

dennysands13hotmailc, May 2026
Maja was special. She was friendly, involved, and informative. She knew her history. GOD bless her. And the drivers were great too

Marvelous Maja teaches us in Normandy.

Kathryn_T, May 2026
This trip was an exceptional experience. Maja was extremely informed and so very interesting. The bus drivers were very friendly and safety conscious. We recommend finding the meeting place a day early, do you are sure to make it on time. The yellow metro line 1 was an easy to use. At Port Maillot stop, look for the Hyatt Regency as you exit. The meeting spot is very near it at small church, Notre Dame de Compassion.

Outstanding guide (Sam}. Best tour guide we have had on our 2 week trip Sam had a wealth of knowledge and presented it clearly.

Meaningful, Well-Organized and Well-Curated Tour

cellenbolt, May 2026
What a well curated and well planned tour! We went into this expecting to be moved, but Sam did a fantastic job bringing the history to life. It was very evident that he was passionate about the topic, and had many details to help augment what we were seeing/visiting. So, so great. This is a tour that will stay with me for a while, and I appreciate the efforts that were made to make it so worthwhile.

Great Tour and Exceptionable Tour Guide

George_S, May 2026
It was wonderful. The tour guide told the story leading up to WW2 very passionately. I enjoyed talking with her on a one on one basis. I am an avid reader of WW2, the Resistance and the Holocaust. I gave her the titles of some great movies and books of both wars. The negative I have to post is about the restaurant. I selected cod and fries, good but cold. Would have preferred at least warm. Other than that, the tour was exceptional and rememberable.

Normandy with Lawrence

Lawrence did a fantastic job! He is extremely knowledgeable on subject matter. He made the day very interesting, educational and enjoyable. We would gladly recommend him for your tour.

Normandy visit with lunch.

Collette_M, Apr 2026
It was a wonderful day learning about the D-Day invasion and the history. Lawrence was an outstanding and knowledgeable guide. His passion for the people of France and the Americans who liberated the country w a s sincere and heartfelt. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Reflecting on D-Day Tour

Rodney_W, Apr 2026
Depending upon time of year and weather conditions, be prepared for full range of need for coat, umbrella, hat, etc. The tour itself is well done. Seems to offer sufficient time to view various sites. Our tour guide, Thelma, was especially knowledgeable of the historical aspects as well as tangential stories related to events and do so in an entertaining, yet respectful, manner. The example sites plus museum time was important to see and gain insight to that D-Day event. The American Cemetery is very humbling, sad that so many young boys courageously sacrificed their lives in the quest for freedom that we, after so many years removed from that critical day, may take for granted today. A noon meal was included in our package. Welcomed, it was only okay. The restaurant, knowing ahead of preparing 50 plates in advance and then rapidly serving the three choices did the best they could under the circumstances. Fish with creamy butter sauce was best, toss up between pizza and ham secondly. French fries on all plates did not do well for holding temperature and freshness. Mashed potatoes would be better suited to the high volume feeding style. Dessert pie was fairly good. Would be improved if there was a fruit sauce over it, maybe some cinnamon sprinkled over as well Restroom moments seemed to work for timing and tour folk needs. Bus stop going and returning for restroom and refreshments was welcome break from the otherwise three to four hour drive. The bus was comfortable, smooth riding (does have a toilet on board, too).

A wonderful experience

Mary_S, Apr 2026
It was very well organized and we had an excellent tour guide. It was a very long day but definitely worth the trip.

Exceptional trip

This is a moving emotional tour to Normandy. The guide, Onome, struck a perfect balance of respect for the importance of the site, providing so much history to us with an occasional glimpse of humor. Ask her why Hilters troops ate so many carrots…

Normandy with a PHD

Mark_A, Apr 2026
Excellebt tour guide who happens to be a pHD. Sam was very knowledgeable and personable. He really explained things and took a personal interest in explaining things to us.

Take the tour, you won’t regret it!

Monica_T, Apr 2026
Wow. What an amazing experience. Daniel made it both fun and informative while being extremely respectful of the circumstance. Each stop brought something different to the tour and while I initially thought some might be too long, they were sometimes not long enough! Going to the cemetery and being there for the lowering of the flag and playing of taps was extremely emotional. So glad that’s where our tour ended. Everyone should make time for this tour if you are in Paris.

Bus too tight. Guide great

Tour of Normandy WWII beaches

brill33, Apr 2026
There is a lot to see and absorb in a short period of time. However, lunch that was included in the tour was mediocre at best.

Worth the price

Roberta_T, Apr 2026
Maja is the best, so much knowledge and loved her bubbly personality and her interpretation on the events and especially the local culture and communities

Normandy day trip

Susan_P, Apr 2026
Our day trip to Normandy was thoughtfully guided by Lawrence, whose knowledge of world history leading to WW2 set the stage. Visits to Utah beach and museum, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha beach and the Normandy American cemetery were informative and reverent of the sacrifices made by many. Having a preordered lunch provided a nice break without the delay of last minute selection and prep. A long but memorable day trip. Highly recommend!
