Our Azulejo Tile Painting Workshop is the only one in Porto offering two options of tile painting techniques: -You can experience the original artisan glazing method, just as Portuguese craftsmen have done for centuries. This method tiles need to be fired in a ceramic kiln at 1,100°C (2,012°F), it takes up to 5 days to pick up or can be shipped. -Or choose the ready-to-go acrylic painting option, where your unique tile is sealed and ready to be taken home right after the workshop. Both allow you to create a unique piece of art to cherish. The session takes place in our working artist studio and gallery, surrounded by contemporary art and creative energy. Led by a professional artist, you’ll paint step by step, no experience needed, while also receiving insider tips of Porto’s best art galleries, museums, tile-covered architecture, and local restaurants. In this tile painting workshop, you can experience a little bit of all of this, because this experience is designed so that you don't need any prior experience, just to feel good. Learn how to make the famous "Pastel de Nata" from scratch so that you can return home and enjoy the traditional Portuguese pastries totally made by you. In a group activity, you'll take turns participating while enjoying a local wine in a specially designed kitchen with exceptional hosts experienced in teaching and entertainment. Our two spaces are centrally located, one near "São Bento Train Station" and "Ribeira", and the other near "Jardim do Morro" and the Port Wine Cellars. We are one of the oldest traditional wineries in Douro Valley since 1872. On this tour we will start on our winery, were we will have the experience to check all the technical details process from our vinification methods followed by a local guide. Next stop we will be explore our wine cellar having the opportunity to experienced on first hand how we still aged our top red and white wines plus Port wines we do at Quinta da Foz. As a highlight from this experience tour we will taste 5 different wines plus our extra virgem olive oil. You’ll receive a white ceramic tile and can choose from an exclusive selection of traditional tile patterns carefully selected and documented by our team directly from the streets of Porto, which you can replicate, or create your own original design. Your instructor will guide you throughout the painting process, making it accessible for beginners and enjoyable for all ages. Throughout the workshop, enjoy Port wine, juice, water, coffee, and a selection of sweet and savory snacks, while relaxing, socializing, and painting. After the session, you take your hand-painted souvenir of your time in Portugal. This activity is ideal for all occasions: solo travelers, families, bachelor and bachelorette parties, team-building events, or simply enjoying time with friends.

The class focuses on preparing a 100% plant-based custard filling and the baking process. The puff pastry is pre-prepared, and you’ll receive an exclusive house-made recipe to recreate it at home, as puff pastry requires several hours to be ready for use. The session also includes a short and accessible introduction to the history of the Pastel de Nata in Portugal, from its origins in Lisbon to its evolution into one of the country’s most famous pastries, with insight into how this traditional recipe can be successfully adapted to a vegan version without losing its essence. Each participant will prepare several vegan Pastéis de Nata, which can be enjoyed on site or taken away. A transport box is included for your pastries. Throughout the workshop, enjoy Port wine, juice, water, coffee, and sweet and savory snacks, in a relaxed and social atmosphere. At the end of the session, you’ll leave with the confidence, and the recipe, to recreate this vegan Portuguese classic at home.

Create your own souvenir to remember your time in Porto during this watercolor workshop. Join a small group and learn how to manipulate the paints to create your very own artwork. Your teacher shows you the techniques used to make a beautiful painting and assists you while you paint the Porto landscape.

Guests will be provided with a blank white tile and various patterns and designs to choose from. The patterns will be traced onto the tiles then filled in with acrylic paint, which dries much faster than ceramic paint and doesn't require being fired in a kiln. Guests can then take home their tiles the same day!
