This was our first experience with Fado music and we enjoyed it very much.
It’s a unique locally inspired style of music. The instruments used are somewhat unique to this music. The vocals are similar to an intimate opera. Combining the two for a lovely musical experience.

The singing and guitar playing is amazing and you will learn about this kind of music throughout the experience. You also get to try one of three Porto wines. It is very personal as the singer explained things in everyone’s language to teach us about the music. It is a neat setting as well since it is in the train station.

Authentic Fado experience with a bit of storytelling of the history. The atmosphere was intimate and the talent exceptional. The length of the concert was a little over an hour which was perfect. I highly recommend it.

I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the greeter, Ana, who turned out to be the Fadista. I was especially impressed by how well she was able to communicate in various languages and her perfect pitch as a fado singer, this is someone who has mastered this art and is proud of her culture. The guitar players are outstanding and this is in one of the most iconic buildings in Porto, not to mention some of the best acoustics I’ve experienced for a live performance of Fado. Parabéns!
