Kappabashi is a roughly 2,620–foot (800–meter) long street that runs north–south about halfway between the Asakusa and Ueno neighborhoods. It’s easy to walk to from Asakusa’s historical center or from Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express line. The Tawaramachi subway station is close to Kappabashi’s southern end.

Shops in Kappabashi operate on individual schedules, but most open between 10am and 5pm, Monday–Saturday. Hours may be limited on Sundays.
