So Glad we went!

A really enjoyable day! There is no castle like this one, so if you are close enough to go, you should. Our tour guide Marleen added to our experience, and was very attentive, professional and personable. Be aware there is a lot of walking, and some steep grades. Better to take the shuttle bus over the Mary’s bridge and then walk down hill to the castle. The bridge itself gives you a view of the water falls and the castle, so worth getting there anyway. I hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!

A must visit before leaving Germany.

My husband and I traveled with a tour group and I actually extended our trip by two extra days so we could stay in Munich and visit this site. Even if you're not a huge history buff, it is something that needs to be seen. We should never forget what ugliness can come from hate. We had Nic as our guide for this tour. He was very organized and knowledgeable. Kept the group safe, moving, and made sure we had enough time to really take in the parts of this site that we wanted to. Nic even offered up some suggestions to the group for things to see, do and places to eat when we returned to the office. Overall I am very happy with the way this day tour was organized from purchase to actual travel.

Great tour guide , very informative and (I believe ) unintentionally funny . We didn't have great weather but being there was more important that the scenery . If you miss out on views of the surrounding mountains then take a trip on the cable car in Salzburg another day . Other guests didn't appear to have read the description properly , it's clearly stated that the €35 for the ascent to the eagles nest is not included . Highly recommend.

Reliving München 35 years later.

This was a great tour. All food choices covered the uniqueness of the München area. This was a busy time as it was Oktoberfest. We did feel a bit rushed and then had a lot of down time at the Marienplatz Glockenspiel. Enjoyed learning about the Glockenspiel and some of the different foods. Even though our tour guide was running late, Viator kept us informed and then ended up sending another guide to us.

A day of Castles

Julia picked us up promptly at 8:30 and we were off to see the Castles. It was nice having someone drive us that knows the area well. A Tour Worth Taking

Sarah showed around the city of Munich and got all the highlights from the beginning or rose of the Nazi Party. She was quite knowledgeable and interesting, especially considering the emotional heaviness of the topic. As a sociologist, I appreciated Sarah attention to the explanation of how Hitler came to power because of the circumstances surrounding Germany at the time, and how certain aspects of our current political state seem to mimic those of Nazi times.

Great itinerary. It covered all the important places in Salsburg. It was nice that we were given extra time to explore the area on our own. Our tour guide Susanne was a great historian. Great experience with my teenager
