Maritza
You definitely get great value for your money. Our host, Maritza, was excellent—she communicates clearly and made the whole experience even better with her energy and presence. One highlight for me was the photoshoot before the flight. It’s an extra (~$70 USD), but absolutely worth it. As for the balloon ride itself, it was good, but honestly, the anticipation was more exciting than being up there. Still, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so I’d recommend going for it. If you can, hope you get Maritza—she’s fantastic. I’d gladly look for her again when I bring friends next time.

Highlight of our visit to...
Highlight of our visit to CDMX. Very well organized with pickup at our hotel at 5am. Upon arrival at the balloon port we were offered coffee and observed the rolling out of the balloon and prep. Pretty soon multiple balloons were taking off from all around us (there are 15+ operators) creating a spectacular view. Our take off was smooth and our captain was a true professional. We took a close look at the pyramid of the sun and landed in a field nearby where we were offered bubbles to celebrate. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience! The company communicated clearly with us the afternoon prior to our experience to provide an exact pick up time and to give us the contact info of our driver. The van is a little tight but overall it was comfortable (we saw other tour companies whose vans looked much less comfortable). Before the flight they had coffee and tea for us and also had two outdoor fires to sit by to stay warm. The flight itself was magical and we got so close to the temples. After landing our pilot offered us a toast and told us more about the history of the hot air balloon. Afterwards we went to breakfast in the cave which was actually pretty decent. The mezcal tasting was interesting as well as we learned about the history of the area. We opted to buy tickets for the temples through the company but did not opt for the guided tour. They dropped us off at the ticket gate and we were able to walk around for about 90 mins. I highly recommend this tour. My 8 year-old son loved it!

I'm a WWE fan, watching Lucha Libre live hits different.
The host messaged us a day before the event, which was helpful. We first met at a café where we had beers and tried a Mexican probiotic drink. It was a great way to socialize with the group—I even ended up spending the evening with one couple because of it. After a brief orientation at the café (about 45 minutes), we went to a taco spot and grabbed some food—plus more beers if you wanted. Once we were all set, we headed to the arena. I’m a big WWE fan and usually watch online, but seeing it live hits different. You don’t get to watch the entire show, as the host focuses on the main, more exciting matches. That said, I do wish we had stayed for a couple more matches—we only saw two. Still, it was a great experience overall!

Mexico is a tapestry of climates, cultures, and histories. Engage with Mesoamerica’s history by exploring one of the country’s many world-class ancient ruins, from Chichen Itza to Teotihuacan, or dig into the food scenes of Mexico City, Merida, or Mazatlan on tours that highlight regional delicacies. Plenty of Mexico tours are made for revelers, such as yacht rides and beach club experiences, while others are tailored to those interested in local culture. The options are as diverse as the country itself.
