Amazing Private tour with Kahori

Our tour in Tokyo was fantastic. Our guide, Kahori, contacted me shortly after scheduling the tour through Viator. She explained who she was, a bit about her experience and gave our group an example itinerary to help us choose places we were interested in. Our group had a few travelers with extreme dietary restrictions/ allergies. Kahori helped us find and research several places that would accommodate our needs. Kahori checked in with our group to remind us of the tour and was very attentive to our groups suggestions. On the day of the tour she was waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel and was extremely friendly and punctual. We visited 5 different areas across Tokyo (Senso Ji temple, Imperial Palace Gardens, Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo Tower, Metropolitan government building). Although we did do everything, I would suggest sticking to a specific area as we found we were on a very tight time schedule for 6 hours. We truly underestimated how sprawling the city is. We ended the trip with lunch at Tempura Asakusa Sakura. It was delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our group. The tour was amazing and I would highly recommend it.

The drop off directions were a little confusing for our taxi driver, but he parked his car and walked with us until we found the right place. We loved his extra effort! Our guide was very knowledgeable, throughout the tour they imparted gems of information in connection with each of the sites we visited so that we were really able to get the most out of each location, great sense of humour, led the day very professionally and looked after all. Fun and tasty afternoon

My 20 year old daughter and I did this tour during our first trip to Tokyo and it was one of our favorite activities! We met outside of a Buddhist temple and started with a short tour there. We then went into the fish market and learned about its history, as well of some the guide's favorite stalls. We had the time to purchase snacks before moving onto the class. Our class was led by Coco and an experience sushi chef. The chef demonstrated how to prepare fish for sushi, as well as sashimi. Plates with prepared fish and bowls of rice were set out for us and the chef walked through how to make different types of nigiri. Finally, we learned how to make a roll. We then got to eat our creations - delicious. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys sushi!

Extremely organized and individualized our tour

We initially booked Kaz for May 25th for a full day tour of Tokyo for 4 friends. Based on the in depth planning texts we were sharing, we also booked Kaz for May 24. We had 2 very full days that were each unique and wonderfully scenic and fun. On May 25 we saw iconic temples and shrines, a cute, purposely lesser known area of Tokyo to glimpse how the locals live, and ended our jam packed day at Team Lab for an interactive electronic experience that is not to be missed! Kaz handled our schedule with aplomb, making sure we saw everything we wanted to, making sure we had as much time as we wanted at each site, and getting us to our destination timely. His work before we even saw him paid off in spades about putting in our day exactly what we wanted, most of which was suggested by Kaz. Highest recommendation from all 4 of us!

Excellent Tour!

We had such a wonderful experience on this tour. Meg was spectacular and really cared deeply about every member of the tour that day. You get to do a lot of things and see a lot of things in one day, but it is very rushed and certainly not for people who have mobility issues or need extra time since you have to move quickly at every stop to be able to meet the tight schedule demands. Overall, a fantastic tour!

Tomomi is an excellent local guide who maneuvers around the interests of the guests and any needs that may arise. She and our driver Toshi who is an experienced driver navigated many hidden venues to capture a view of Mt. Fuji, a local sake brewery and an excellent local winery. Many thanks to them for an excellent day despite the rain.

A Must-See for Families!

Our group (ages 10 to 20) absolutely loved this show! It’s an intimate, immersive experience where the performers engage directly with the audience. The storytelling is a fantastic mix of traditional Japanese dance and high-energy pop/techno. The customer service was top-tier—they called an hour before to confirm our arrival, gave us incredible seats, and were incredibly gracious when half our group arrived late. We felt so welcomed. My 10-year-old even called it his favorite part of our entire Japan trip! Note on tipping: While we heard tipping isn’t common in Japan, you actually can tip your favorite dancer here. They were all so talented it was hard to pick just one! Highly recommend adding this to your Tokyo itinerary.
