The show was a great folk performance with English translation and subtitles. They also have post show picture opportunities with the performers.

This is an interpretative dance show taking approximately 45 minutes. English subtitles are provided but not really necessary as there is very limited spoken word, and you are provided with a written synopsis of the legend in English ahead of the show.
The music and dance were very impressive and the costumes were outright stunning.
For our performance, there was an opportunity to take photos with the performers afterwards, including an option to take a photo whilst wearing a costume.

This show was incredible! I would highly recommend going to see it, you will not be disappointed. The speakers at the beginning explained the story you were about to see very well. And the sub-titles were awesome!

Our family really enjoyed this local play in Hiroshima and the performance was outstanding, from the musicians to those in costume. I would recommend arriving a bit early so you can get prime seating in the Viator section!

From the second I entered I felt very welcome. The staff are super lovely and dedicated to everyone, audience and performers, enjoying themselves and having a good night. It is less than an hour of performance which suits my short attention span perfectly - It is a pretty nonstop show, especially for the musicians who are playing start to finish, and the performers are in very elaborate, heavily layered outfits. They all made it look effortless somehow, very impressive! I'm sure I would have melted and fallen off stage in the first 2 minutes.
10/10 I will definitly come to see another show here next time I'm in Hiroshima.

My husband and I attended the performance of “Yamata No Orochi” and absolutely loved it! The costumes are so intricate and fascinating, the performers are passionate, talented, and energetic, and the MC who additionally supplies English translation, Hitomi, is friendly and very professional in her translations. We felt very welcome! Highly recommended attending this activity if you’re in Hiroshima, it is authentically Japanese and gives a fantastic opportunity to learn more of the cultural practises in terms of plays/folklore. The Kagura performers are so professional and very good. The costumes, music and dancing were fantastic.
Of course the English subtitles really helped in understanding the play.
Also the emcees did a good job explaining what we will experience and following up at the end of the show. I am so happy I went to experience Kagura.

This was a truly rewarding experience. When you walk into the center the Viator team greats you and you get instructions where to sit. The performance was perfect in length and easy to follow along.cant beat the price

Such an amazing show, they have a screen on top to show english subtitles. The actors and musicians were incredible. The show is about 40 minutes so you have plenty of time to do other things afterwards. They also have different sections for booking groups and the Viator group had a great view.

I enjoyed the performance very much and the timing of it was perfect. The costumes were so beautiful and colorful and I love the way they worked the different positions in them. As a tourist I lucked out to be able to be in town on the date of a show.
