Saw so much for two hours, ate so many snacks!
We had a wonderful time on the Korumon walking tour with Mich. She was a wonderful guide full of great information. The tour was a wonderful snapshot of the area and we took many of her recommendations for shopping and lunch after. We were very happy with the quality and quantity of tastes! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the market area.

Memorable food tour!
Our guide -Aya was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about food staples in Osaka. She helped us navigate the market with patience and grace. She was personable and very nice. My daughter and I throughly enjoyed our tour with her.

Highlight of Japan Family Trip
Food tour was great and the favorite tour of our stay in Japan. It definitely fulfilled the family's need for sushi, trying everything from fish cakes to sea urchin and pufferfish. Our guide was very friendly and patient with our 2 year old, who tried everything as well, and was amazing with pointing out all the unique things in the market to see if we wanted to try it.
This will be a highlight of our Japan trip!

Excellent tour by Jimmy....
Excellent tour by Jimmy. He took us to places he really liked, not the touristic spots, we really enjoyed it. He has a great sense of humor, also had great conversation.
Cheers,
Cihan & Yaron.

Excellent Tasting Tour of Kuromon Market
Hikaru was excellent! His background as a chef, coupled with his engaging personality, meant the whole group (including some teenagers) had a great time and learned a lot. We do food tours in most places we go, and this was a really good one!

Must try food tour - Guide Mich was wonderful!
Our tour guide Mich was excellent. She ensured the food did not interact with food allergies and gave us a lot of history and insight into the area. The tastes were delicious. We were very happy with this experience.

Tasty Tour With Jimmy!
Great food tour through the market and
'underground city'. We had some delicious food! Be prepared to be very full by the end. We had a lovely group of people, Frank, Christian and Alex, to share our tour and Jimmy was our fabulous guide. So, thank youl. It was a pleasure to spend the morning with you all!

Kuromon market is a...
Kuromon market is a vibrant hub for seafood, produce, food and baked goods vendors. There is ample walking for a nice journey between food stops. “Kitchen Street” was an interesting place to visit with restaurant ware, knife shops and general home kitchen supplies.
We were very happy with our guide Ayaka! She has excellent English, a positive and enthusiastic energy that made our tour insightful and memorable.

When to visit

When eating from street food stalls, there is often nowhere to sit. Be careful not to block foot traffic while you’re eating, and stand somewhere to the side.
Make sure to take any trash from snacks purchased home with you. It’s uncommon to find trash cans in public places in Japan, because the understanding is you’ll take it away and dispose of it properly later.
There’s a rest area at the information center at the southern end of the market. You can sit and eat your snacks here, plus there are toilets and baggage storage (for a fee).
