Miri was a lovely and patient guide. She explained the history of Osaka well. We would have liked to have stayed and explored the castle more. The shopping districts were interesting, but we are not shoppers or souvenir collectors. The discrepancy for not understanding the limits of the tour is on us and no reflection of the guide.

We had such a wonderful day exploring Osaka for the first time! We were lucky enough to have our guide all to ourselves and spent a fun & fascinating day seeing plum blossoms, getting gorgeous views of Osaka Castle, visiting bustling Shinsaibashi, Kuromon Market, Shinsekai, and Namba. Our guide was wonderful to talk to, was very knowledgeable, and gave us a great overview of the city which is going to be incredibly helpful during the rest of our stay in Osaka. We ended the day with a delicious lunch of gyoza & Osaka-style ramen. So tasty! Would definitely recommend this tour to other Western visitors & came away saying we had a great day that was very well spent!

This was a good way to visit the Osaka castle grounds, learn about the Shoguns and Edo period history, visit different neighborhoods and markets, sample food. Everything was timed well.

Shizuka was a fantastic guide. My husband and I ended up with a private tour and had a great day! Shizuoka was knowledgeable about all of our stops and accommodating to my recent knee injury.

Hiraku our guide was very good at allowing us the time to experience our itinerary without rushing. Her explanation of the Osaka Castle was very informative and humorous. We made a foodie stop in one of the markets and enjoyed what she called a snack but really was a nice local lunch. She also helped us find the subway to get back to our hotel. We had a great tour with Hiraku.

This was a great walking tour of Osaka!! The group size was perfect and everyone was so engaging and respectful. Our guide, Shizuka, was phenomenal as she showed us many different parts of Osaka from the Osaka Castle to historic shopping streets, markets, and districts, and finishing at the Glico Running Man sign!! We even stopped briefly and sat down for some okonomiyaki, noodles, and a beverage. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to have fun!!

The guide was lovely and knowledgeable. She took us via train and foot and knew her way round the city so well and could answer all our questions . My only negative is that unlike with other tours we did not have the benefit of messaging beforehand so due to the taxi dropping us at the main entrance rather than closer to the meeting spot at Starbucks we missed the first half hour - we didn’t want to keep others waiting so joined when we did meet up thanks to the tour operator calling me and directing me via face time to the next meeting spot ! Pre contact would have prevented any confusion I feel

The tour led by Satsuki and aided by Hikaru was a phenomenal introduction to Osaka. We came for a day trip and left feeling like locals with an in-depth understanding of the city's best sights, eats, and pastimes.
The guides were refreshing to talk to, and made for a genuine experience. It was a benefit to learn from students!

We’ve been in Japan for two weeks, and this was truly one of the best tours we’ve done. Satsuki was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great stories. She brought Osaka’s history to life as we explored Osaka Castle and learned about Nobunaga and Hideyoshi.
After that, we wandered through different markets and sampled several of the local foods, our favorite being the famous takoyaki (octopus balls) from her recommended spot. She even led us through a lively shopping district where our new friends tried puffer fish (and thankfully lived to tell the tale!).
Satsuki never rushed us, answered every question with patience and humor, and made the entire morning so enjoyable. It was a spectacular experience, and we’d highly recommend her tour to anyone visiting Osaka!

I booked the Osaka Early Morning Tour with English -Speaking Guide. While visiting I wanted to absorb as much about Osaka as I could. I have taken a few tours all including the Osaka Castle with each operator giving different facts & exploring the sites on the grounds. My tour guide Susan was fantastic! She was informative & gave me a different view of all the sites we visited! It was an interactive tour. She took us a great place for lunch which was delicious & a nice break in the tour. We were able to try a fruit drink from one of the vendors & look in a few stores! I will be revisiting some of the places we saw to do some shopping! A great tour to book while you’re in Osaka…a place for great food & fun!

Ryoichi was great on this tour! We began at Osaka Castle and walked around three main neighborhoods of Osaka and took the metro between neighborhoods. Ryoichi was great as an Osaka native, he spoke from this heart of someone who grew up here. He shared personal stories and experiences as well as historical background on what we were visiting. In addition he regularly communicated with me via WhatsApp with important logistics information and tips on where to meet exactly. I recommend this tour and Ryoichi.

This was a great small group tour that covered the main areas of Osaka. Yusuke communicated clearly before the tour with things to note and also on the day before the tour he let you know that he was at the meeting point. He was an informative english speaking guide who knew the area and history well. He knew where to find cherry blossoms for us to see as well as great places for photos. He pointed out so many different things along the tour that we would have missed if going by ourselves. It was easy walking and paced well for all. The food included was tasty and it was great to sit on crates at the tables. Very different. Note that you DO NOT go into the castle but walk around it looking at different things. Also note that you need either an all day train pass or SUCA type card as you ride many trains to the different areas. After the tour we went back to some of the areas to explore further. An informative introduction to Osaka.

We had a wonderful time! Especially loved the secret Cherry Blossom near Osaka Castle. 🌸 Favourite tree of my holiday! The inside knowledge of our guide was wonderful with little laneways and fortune spots. The lunch was so good too! Enjoyed picking our own dish from the menu. You won’t regret booking this tour. As it’s a walking tour you see lots!

What a fantastic day! Ryo and Aya took us on a wonderful walking tour of Osaka. They took great family pictures at all of the best spots and shared local knowledge of the area and sights. We took the subways a few times to hop from spot to spot. We really enjoyed the lunch and strolling through the markets. They answered all of our burning questions on Osaka and Japanese culture overall. Highly recommend!!!
