What are people saying about Iceland

A must-do activity!
We had an incredible time on the food tour with Sven and Benni. They were charismatic, welcoming, and effortlessly funny hosts who made the entire experience feel like an evening out with old friends rather than a guided tour.
The pacing was perfect — enough time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed — and every food and drink pairing was absolutely delicious.
What really made the tour memorable was the storytelling. Beyond the fantastic food & drink, we loved learning about Icelandic history, especially notable figures like Ingibjörg H. Bjarnson, whose burial site, specifically, has left a lasting impression.
And of course, we’ll never look at jam the same way again. We have walked away with a newfound appreciation for its resourceful applications and the kind of local wisdom you probably won’t find in any guidebook.
A genuinely fun, unique, and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Iceland.

Our Friend in Reykjavík, Indeed!
Our tour guide was "Paulie" and he provided an experience well beyond food!
While we were waiting for the tour to get started he was already telling us about the local customs and behavior around the meeting spot. After some other people didn't show, we began our tour with just my wife and I, it became a "private" tour and was incredible. The walks between locations were filled with information and fun historical facts about Reykjavík. The conversation continued as we ate local food and traditional dishes, it really felt like we were just out with an old friend of ours catching up.
Because it was just the two of us with Paulie, we were able to move from place to place rather quickly, giving us a lot of extra time to make stops along the way to learn about some Icelandic Traditions, local secret spots, and even learning about "Renting Paintings" from the library, and getting to browse a few of them.
Aside from the fun conversation and learning along the way, the food was absolutely excellent and really gave us a taste of some places that had flown under our radar.
We can happily say that this retired deep Sea fisherman - turned tour guide completely embodied the phrase on the back of his jacket, "Your Friend in Reykjavík". We will never forget Paulie after our trip here ends, and we hope to see him again when we return in the future!

Great food and guide
The venues were excellent from both the point of history and ambiance. The food was excellent and representative of all that Iceland has to offer. Oli, our guide, was very personable and informative. We enjoyed hearing about Iceland and his experiences with food growing up in the country. I highly recommend this tour early in a visit to Iceland.

Amazing experience
What an amazing excursion!! The kerid crater, waterfalls, geyser and national park were a truly magical experience that I will never forget. Our guide Halldor made the day special as well by choosing the best routes to avoid the crowds, his vast knowledge about iceland and his funny jokes. Honestly don’t worry if you book this trip, it was truly wonderful

Wonderful experience!
This was such a fun experience to partake in with my family. The stops were amazing with great food and lots of culture. Although I’m allergic to fish and wasn’t able to consume some of the foods, the substitutions were spectacular. If there’s one thing I love to do when I’m on a trip overseas, it’s trying the local food. This tour did not disappoint and I would gladly do it again when I return to Iceland!
