I had such a fantastic experience today at UP Apron Cookery School in Hanoi. I attended the 9 a.m. cooking class where we learned how to make five traditional Vietnamese dishes, and it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam. The whole experience was incredibly well organized and very hands-on from start to finish. We began with a visit to the local market where our instructor explained the different ingredients and showed us how food is sourced locally in Vietnam. It gave us a real insight into Vietnamese food culture and daily life. Back at the cooking school, we prepared and cooked all of the dishes ourselves, which made the experience both fun and educational. Our instructor was excellent - patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole class really enjoyable for everyone. One of the best parts was sitting down together at the end of the class to enjoy the beautiful Vietnamese meal we had all cooked as a group. Everything tasted amazing, and it was such a lovely atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this cooking experience to anybody visiting Hanoi who wants to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine in a fun and authentic way. Five stars!

With limited time and not a lot of knowledge of Vietnam or Hanoi, we found our guide Linh to be excellent in sharing his knowledge of some of the key landmarks and places of Hanoi ~ their history and stories which were really interesting. Linh also gave us insight into how he lives as a local in Hanoi, the social landscape and challenges and joys of being a young Hanoian resident. Thanks Linh, much appreciated!

Before my trip, company reached out to confirmed my booking and provided me with contact number on day of arrival. On the day of, driver reached out to me promptly just before I landed in Hanoi. He provided me with directions on where to go once I’m cleared immigration and exit the airport with luggage. Pickup was quick and driver got me to my hotel in Old Quarter with no issue. He was helpful and courteous.
