Coco was very knowledgeable and friendly. She did a great job explaining what we were making and the reason for each ingredient. She made sure everyone got hands on in each step. The trip to the market to get ingredients was wonderful. And, of course, the food we prepared was delicious. Highly recommend this class. Ask for Coco to be your chef.

The experience was fun walking to the market and seeing how fresh this food was gonna be. You wear your apron and get to work prepping the food and eventually eating it at the end. Our instructor Hazel spoke English really well and the experience I had was amazing.
Fantastic experience learning how to make traditional dishes. It was very hands on and they made sure we ate the particular dishes we personally made (spring rolls and pork meatballs) with the other dishes accompanying prepared as a group.
Wonderful cooking class! Our instructor was so kind and knowledgeable. The market was right outside the class which was great. The dishes were fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
Hazel was a great instructor! Fun class and great overview of popular dishes in Hanoi. Made pho, bun cha, fried springrolls, papaya salad, and egg coffee. Food was delicious.
Our host, V, greeted us so warmly we immediately felt comfortable and ready for some fun! The market trip was eye opening, buying our produce but also learning some traditional cooking tips. The preparing, and cooking of the 5 different courses was so well managed by V and her side-kicks…we had fun, learned lots and ended up enjoying our hard work with a beautiful feast. Amazing experience, one of our Vietnam highlights!
We had a fun afternoon with Viy and 7 of our classmates from different parts of the world. We first went to the street stands to buy our ingredients and she taught us Pho, Bun Cha, fried spring roll, papaya salad and egg coffee. At the end of the class, we sat down for a full meal of what we made. The kitchen is spacious and everything was well-organized. I highly suggest this activity.
We had a lot of fun shopping for and cooking traditional Vietnamese dishes, and accommodation was made for a vegetarian version of every dish. Shared a delicious meal at the end with all our creations. A fun way to spend a few hours and interact with local people on a trip to Hanoi. We especially appreciated the small group of only four people. It made the personal interactions more enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Our family did this cooking class and we all enjoyed it. Our instructor, Haley, was very engaging and fun and did an excellent job with instruction and explanation. I’ve done cooking class in Hanoi before but only learned one dish, two if you count egg coffee but this course we learned 5 dishes (including egg coffee)! The Old Quarter location was also convenient.
Vy was such a great teacher! She was very experienced and friendly. We really enjoyed our time with her and the food was also absolutely delicious! I would recommend this tour everyone!
It was good fun! The atmosphere was good. The flow was smooth. At the end of the class, we shared the food we made.

I had such a fantastic experience today at UP Apron Cookery School in Hanoi. I attended the 9 a.m. cooking class where we learned how to make five traditional Vietnamese dishes, and it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam.
The whole experience was incredibly well organized and very hands-on from start to finish. We began with a visit to the local market where our instructor explained the different ingredients and showed us how food is sourced locally in Vietnam. It gave us a real insight into Vietnamese food culture and daily life.
Back at the cooking school, we prepared and cooked all of the dishes ourselves, which made the experience both fun and educational. Our instructor was excellent - patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole class really enjoyable for everyone.
One of the best parts was sitting down together at the end of the class to enjoy the beautiful Vietnamese meal we had all cooked as a group. Everything tasted amazing, and it was such a lovely atmosphere.
I would absolutely recommend this cooking experience to anybody visiting Hanoi who wants to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine in a fun and authentic way. Five stars!

Really fun and informative class. They keep the groups small enough so everyone gets to help make each dish. Come hungry too because you make a lot of food.

Really well organized cooking class. We went to the market where our chef/guide explained what she was looking for and why, and also how the farmers bring their meat to market each day. We cooked 5 traditional dishes and had so much to eat at the end that we all rolled out. I think this is the best class I have ever done.

This was a really great experience, our instructor Hazel did a great job explaining the cooking process and the ingredients which made the process very easy, stress free and informative. The food also tasted great.
Emmy was a great cooking teacher. She took us to the nearby market and explained the product we will be using for each dish. We really enjoyed the cooking class and she even made my teenagers cook! I really recommend all to do this experience plus this is in a nice dynamic area of Hanoi. Thank you Emmy for making this moment so special!
The cooking class was well organised, and although it was a lot of dishes, the instructor had full control and managed to engage us all. Lovely food, and I enjoyed our short walk to buy some ingredients. Hazel was a great instructor.
