All Ha Giang Tours & Excursions in 2026

We are incredibly happy with our experience on the Ha Giang Loop 3D2N Private Car Tour! From the very beginning, we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. We arrived by bus at 5 in the morning, and they kindly welcomed us, gave us the opportunity to rest and sleep, have breakfast, and take our time before starting the tour. Throughout the entire experience, we felt that they genuinely cared about our wellbeing. We were especially lucky because it was just the two of us and our wonderful guide, Hùng Đình, which made the experience feel very personal and flexible. He always stopped whenever we wanted, and we could decide ourselves how much time we wanted to spend at each place. We took lots of photos, and he was also happy to take pictures of us and send them to us afterwards. He regularly checked in and asked if we were okay, and he was wonderful to talk to. Whenever we had questions about the places, history, or local culture, he was happy to answer and share his knowledge. Along the way, we saw goats, children climbing trees, old ruins from the French colonial period, and historical sites connected to the region’s history. We also saw local communities along the roads and learned so much about the area. Coming from Norway and Scandinavia, where life and culture can feel so different, this was a real culture shock in the best and most eye opening way possible. One thing that really stood out to us was Hùng Đình’s empathy and values. We were surprised to see how many children were trying to earn money by selling things or offering services to tourists. Our guide kindly explained why it is better not to give money directly to children, as it can encourage them to work instead of going to school. You could tell that he genuinely cared about the local community. We also felt very safe with him as a driver. Traffic in Vietnam can feel quite intense and intimidating for us as visitors, but he drove calmly, patiently, and carefully. When there were children near the road, he slowed down instead of driving aggressively. Small things like that showed us what kind of person he is. He seemed to care deeply about the people, animals, and environment around him. He was mindful about not wasting food and not leaving rubbish in nature, greeted local people along the way, and treated everyone with kindness and respect. The accommodation was also a lovely part of the experience. We really liked the first two hotels and found them comfortable and beautiful. The last place had an open window in the bathroom, which made us a little nervous about insects coming in at night. However, we simply kept the bathroom door closed and used the mosquito net over the bed, so it was completely manageable. We still appreciated the experience and felt well looked after throughout the trip. At first, we thought it was a little unusual that Hùng Đình ate at a table next to us instead of joining us for meals, but then we realized that he simply wanted to give us space to relax and enjoy our holiday. Later in the tour, we even got to eat together, which was lovely. Overall, everything was absolutely top notch. Hùng Đình had such a kind heart and genuinely good values, and that made the whole experience even more meaningful. We did not just see beautiful places, we felt that we experienced the culture through someone who truly cares about the country and the people who live there. We loved this experience and would absolutely love to come back in the future and do another tour with the same guide.
