My partner and I did the vegan street food tour with Pinky. Pinky made this one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam.
She brings so much energy and fun to the experience and has an amazing ability to connect with everyone in the group. She checked if we were comfortable with attending places where meat is prepared alongside the vegan dishes, or if we needed only vegan restaurants. We didn’t mind going to restaurants where meat is also served, but I appreciated being asked. It was exceptionally hot and I was struggling with the heat coming from a winter climate. Pinky offered me her personal fan to use while we were on the tour which was so lovely. She also found places with fans and air conditioning at the different restaurants so we could keep as cool and comfortable as possible during the evening.
Her English is exceptional, making it easy to ask questions and learn about the history, culture and food of Hanoi.
The food itself was outstanding, but the real magic was being taken to places we never would have discovered ourselves. In addition, Pinky shared a list of recommended restaurants and experiences that we will use for the rest of our trip.
Thank you, Pinky, for an unforgettable evening filled with great food, laughter and local insights. We left with full stomachs, a confidence to navigate Hanoi as vegetarians, and even better memories.

We had a wonderful experience on the tour. The highlight of the evening was definitely our guide, Angelina—she was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable right away.
The food stops were delicious and thoughtfully chosen, giving us a great variety of vegan dishes we wouldn’t have found on our own.
Overall, it was a fun, informative, and very well-organized experience. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Angelina as your guide!

We were able to have good vegetarian options on this tour.
It was at comfortable pace. Guide had good knowledge about local cuisines. This helped us later to find right places due to vegetarian food restrictions.

The food we tried was delicious & there was plenty of it - make sure you don't have lunch before you go!

We had such a great tour with Pinky! Her enthusiasm was amazing. We especially enjoyed the sticky rice dish and dry Pho. Just a thought - maybe a bit bigger portions for big groups would be good. We'd definitely want Pinky as our guide again :) <3

We were a group of 4, of which only one of us was vegan. However the food throughout was excellent - tasty and filling. Vy was an excellent guide, informative and able to answer all our questions and queries. The tour exceeded all my expectations (as a non-vegan), I would do it again and I certainly wouldn’t be put off trying more.

I did the vegan food tour with Angelina who was a perfect guide! She took us to around 8 different delicious food spots for a mix of different local foods that I would have probably never known existed otherwise. She is also such a lovely person to talk to and learn more about life in Hanoi. I would thoroughly recommend!!

Trang was the most wonderful tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and shared with us dishes and spots we would have never thought to try out on our own. Come hungry as we went to ~7 different spots! My brother and I had been staying in Vietnam for a while but had generally been playing it safe with food since it can be tough to tell what is or isn’t vegan. We decided to book a tour to branch out a bit under the guidance of a local.
The tour struck a good balance of sweet and savoury snacks, fruit, and drinks, giving us a useful (and delicious) overview of the wider range of food available here.
The main standout, though, were the super-friendly guides. They were well-organised so waiting times for food were minimal, and they made sure we were happy with what we were eating. They also spoke great english, and gave us some really interesting insights into the daily lives of people here.

We had a great time sharing stories with the host, Angelina -- she was very well informed and was genuinely excited to share the food of Hanoi!
This was a really fun tour! My daughter and I were the only ones booked that day, so we ended up with a private tour with guide, Angelina. She was a fabulous guide - very engaging, she shared many insights on life in Hanoi between food stops and had many questions for us too. The food was also very good and we tried many things we wouldn’t have found on our own. Great experience!
Vu was an incredible tour guide! The tour is packed with different stops - so many that I lost count! - and Vu is friendly and generous with his time and knowledge.
Each stop gave us a taste of something delicious and unique. We loved the turmeric sticky rice with mung bean, papaya salad, donuts, and sticky rice with coconut ice cream the most but everything was so good it was hard to choose. We made a point to go back to the ice cream spot again!
Vu also shared a lot with us about Vietnamese life in the city from housing to education to religion to dating. He was delightful and easy to talk with!
Our group was small (just my husband and I). Vu met us right on time at the meeting location and texted us the day before to confirm the tour. Thank you for a great experience!

Yen and Anh were so lovely to spend time with and they did a great job taking me to places I never would have discovered on my own! I also got to learn a little more about the history of Hanoi before and after the first indochina war. I highly recommend this tour to any vegan visiting Hanoi!

We had such a good time on this tour, Kien took us to lots of great spots that we wouldn’t have known to go to on our own. We also tried lots of cool food that we wouldn’t have tried or known what to order by ourselves. We did the food tour with Yen and it was fantastic! Tried some new delicious dishes and had Yen tell us all about local life and the history of parts of Hanoi. Yen was an enthusiastic and friendly guide, and very welcoming to the city. Highly recommended to try some of the street food.

If you're looking for a fun-filled food tour, look no further! We had an amazing time walking around the Old Quarter with our local guide Vū! He brought us to so many different food stalls, including a stop at a fruit stand where we were able to pick out whatever we wanted to try. He also gave us some cultural history of the area, providing us with a look at local life in the Old Quarter. Vū was a very friendly, easy to talk to guide who made our first night in Hanoi so memorable! He even tailored the tour to our food preferences. During our stay in Hanoi we returned to a few of the places he had shared with us since they were so delicious, clean and safe. Thanks Vū for making our first trip to Hanoi so memorable!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great little walking tour of Hanoi. Lots of food including noodles, fruit, banh mi, dessert and more. Took us down some dark alleys, showed us smallest house in Hanoi and also more! Definitely worth doing and recommended.

I have had a foodtour trough Hanoi. Dong was my tourguide and did a wonderful job. The tour went trough all the little streets you won't find yourself. You eat with locals and taste the best meals of Vietnam. The background information was also really nice. It was quit a lot of food, but I could safe some for later that day in a doggybag. Now I know what Vietnamese food I like and which I will skip the next time. Thank you for anwsering of all my qustions and show me around!

The tour was really interesting and I tried about 6-7 dishes including traditional Vietnamese deserts. My guide was really friendly and chatty. She took the time to explain every dish and the origins of it. This tour is a must do for food lovers. I highly recommend it.
I choose this tour for two reasons . 1. Loved the thought of helping a young univerity student practice speaking English. 2. It was free. Had nothing to lose if the tour didn’t rate. What a refreshing surprise!
Tony who co ordinates this group of volunteers (19) contacted us with tour guide name and meeting place. When we met Tina I knew straight away I’d made the right choice. She was bubbly and excited to show us the real street food. Meandering around the street stalls we tasted delicious treats from Bun bo nam( noodle salad), Banh mi (Vietnamese bread with tasty fillings), fried fruits, mixed fruit (with condensed milk). My partner headed back to the hotel and Tina and I had “girl time” taking selfies and enjoying an egg coffee! (Where has this been all my life?). I have been on many food tours in my travels but this clearly , this rates number one..Tina is studying Pharmacy and I wish her well.
We had a fantastic vegan food tour in Hanoi with Linh. The tour was excellently organized and very diverse from start to finish. Linh showed us many hidden places and authentic corners of the city that we would never have found on our own.
We particularly enjoyed the exciting stories and background information about Hanoi that Linh shared with us along the way. All the dishes were excellent and provided a great insight into Vietnamese cuisine. Linh was always attentive to our wishes and preferences.
It was an entertaining, relaxing, and very enjoyable evening full of insider tips, hidden spots, and delicious food. We can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover Hanoi away from the usual tourist paths. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!
