This show is a must for any traveler in Hoi An. The choreography, set design and scale as well as the performers were absolutely unbelievable. I was so impressed how well done the show was. How a director could choreograph so many performers so perfectly is beyond comprehension. Although it is just a one hour show it is a spectacle not to be missed. It can be very hot and there is no getting around that, and I just kept thinking of the performers performing to such perfection in the heat as well. PRO TIP: Arrange a return car/cab with your hotel for a 9:15/9:30 pickup as the island the show is on is a bit remote with a lot of exiting traffic. Grab cabs are far and few between.

Amazing experience

Family of 4 had an amazing experience on the coconut boats and making lanterns. Coconut village is a wonderful family business ran by Vu, his wife and their two children. They speak great English and are very happy and welcoming people. There are many companies offering coconut rides/lantern making and we highly recommend this one. Their coffee was delicious and the coconut boat captain was funny and gave us lots of opportunity for nice photos

Excellent tour to see all of Hoi An

We had such a wonderful day with Harry as our guide. He is so kind, knowledgeable and looked after us throughout our tour. We loved every aspect of this tour from the walking history of old town to the beautiful planter boat at sunset. Everything was timed beautiful and we never felt rushed. I also can’t recommend this company enough. Harry and his team looked after us from moment one, even arranging a cab from old town back to our hotel late in the evening so we could enjoy the area when the tour concluded. It started exactly on time, as promised — no waiting around, no surprises, just straight into an epic ride in a super cool military jeep that instantly made the whole day feel like an adventure. The tour took us deep into rural villages to see how people in Vietnam actually live, away from all the touristy spots — such an eye-opening and authentic experience. Our guide Lam was phenomenal: excellent English, incredibly knowledgeable, and constantly sharing insights about local life, history, and culture that we never would've picked up on our own. What really made it special was how flexible Lam was — he happily adjusted the route to fit what we wanted to see more of. Wonderful tour guides

Had a great time. Wonderful guides, Lanh, Lam, Phu. VIP treatment the whole time. Picked us up at hotel in the Jeep, and the Jeep ride made me smile so much, for so long, my face hurt. Lanh told us all the facts and history we wanted to know about the tour and Da Nang as well. Walked slowly for us older folks and gave us ample time to sightsee. Made it easy to enjoy the few flights of stairs in this humid weather. Lam drives very carefully and again, made us feel like special guests. Phu and the Jeep driving was a blast as well. He can spot a monkey in the trees at 30 yards while driving at 20mph. Took plenty of photos for us, sent them all to us before trip was done. Modified the tour per our request and I can honestly say I feel like I have buddies at Local Buddy Tours. Thanks team, you made a great day and memory for this 64 yo American male, Vietnamese wife and son. (Yes Lanh spoke in both English and Vietnamese for us)

Cooking Class should not be Missed

This class was very well organised and the preparation, cooking and eating of the various dishes ran smoothly. The stop at the market first thing was interesting and the coconut boat ride was entertaining. The highlight for us was the cooking class which took place in a well resourced space clearly designed for this purpose. Chef shared a good deal of information about each dish and was encouraging of the most novice among us. Would definitely recommend this activity!

Our private half day tour of My Son Sanctuary with our guide Tina was excellent. Tina had so much information to share and we also enjoyed hearing about her day to day life in the area. Our pick up time was 0700 hrs and this allowed us to get to My Son before it started getting very busy at around 0930-1000 hrs. The cultural performance (music and dance) outdoors at 0900 was beautiful.
