Be ready for a delicious culinary adventure. Street food means just that—eating at makeshift tables, kitchens open to the street, small plastic stools. Mai was a terrific guide—knowledgeable and fun. She told us about the culture and history along the way in between food tastings, which enriched the experience. Highly recommend. For ladies, do not wear a dress or skirt. You will be almost sitting on the floor, stools are very low.

I had a great experience at this cooking class and would highly recommend it! First, the menu was very diverse and truly represented authentic Vietnamese cuisine. It was exciting to learn how to cook several traditional dishes that felt very local and unique. One of the highlights was starting the day with a visit to the local market. We were guided through where the ingredients are sourced and learned about the different herbs, vegetables, and products used in Vietnamese cooking. It made the experience much more educational and immersive. The chef spoke excellent English and explained everything clearly. Each step of the cooking process was taught patiently, so it was easy to follow even for beginners. Overall, the class was fun, well-organized, and the recipes were very clear. At the end, we also received a certificate and a cookbook, which made the whole experience feel even more worth it. Definitely very highly recommended! 👏🍜

I booked this for my parents (55+ years old) and they had such a wonderful time. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and approachable and they mentioned his kindness too. They've learned a lot and had a great time. The lunch was also a great way to introduce them to the food scene. I'd recommend this as the first thing to do when you step your foot into Hanoi.
