Fantastic experience
The views will leave you breathless. The nature is stunning. There was snow today, so everything was just white when we arrived. But our guide David let us stay a bit longer, so the snow would start melting and we could see the true beauty of Vinicunca / Rainbow Mountain. If you have the energy, go to the very top, the views are unforgettable. And do not be shy to take a horse up. It was 80 soles, but worth it for the experience and especially as there was so much snow today. David explained everything about the mountain and why the colours are the way they are. And about alpacas and llamas. Truly a fantastic experience and guide.

Machu Picchu is not to be missed
Machu Picchu is a remarkable place in a stunning location, 5* just for that! As the tour states it’s a very long day. Leaving Cusco at 6am a small bus takes you over some rough roads for about 1.5hrs to the rail station. Our group was on 3 different timed trains. About 1.5hrs through remarkable scenery, taking the glass domed train is definitely worth it. About 1.5hrs again in the modern town of Machu Picchu, followed by 30 mins bus up to the Machu Picchu site. Tickets are for set times to visit. We were met by guides and set off on a personal guided walk of this amazing place for about 2 hours. The local guide was excellent. Post the guided tour a return journey on the bus to the town & a 2 hr wait for the train back. Then again 1.5hrs on the train & 1.5hrs on those roads by bus. Arriving 10pm. What would improve the trip? Less hanging around in the town before & after the trip up to Machu Picchu. And one guide with you all day. This trip passes you from person to person at each stage & whilst only a small group of about 20 people, the opportunity to lose someone existed & it lacked that camaraderie you often get on trips like this. Recommended but if you can cut it down from a 16hr day I would take that option.

A Perfect Day at Rainbow Mountain – Truly Memorable Experience
What an unforgettable experience at Rainbow Mountain! From start to finish, everything about this tour was exceptional. The day began early, but we were welcomed with a delicious and energizing breakfast after 2 hours drive that set the tone perfectly for the adventure ahead. After the hike, we were treated to a hearty and flavorful lunch The entire experience was made even more special by our guide, who was incredibly professional, and genuinely caring. And of course, Rainbow Mountain itself was absolutely breathtaking — the colors are even more vibrant in person and worth every step of the hike! If you’re visiting Peru, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommend this team for their organization, hospitality, and top-notch service. A perfect 10/10 experience!

Professional, high quality, magical 1/2 day trip
Perfect length day trip. It was an adventure without being too much time in the bus. Our tour guide Jhon was very friendly, speaking English, Spanish, and teaching us some Quechua! His extensive knowledge of the sites made each place even more magical! We even accidentally left an item on the bus after the end of the tour, and they brought the item to our hotel. Thank you so much Jhon and Alfredo!
