We had such an amazing experience on this tour! Wally was a wonderful guide, very kind and attentive, and he made the whole day enjoyable.
Everything was well organized, with timely pickup and drop-off. The hike itself was absolutely stunning, and we got really lucky with perfect weather, which made the experience even better.
You also have the option to take a horse up the mountain if you are unsure about the hike. We chose to ride up just for the experience, and it was incredible. It is such a unique way to take in the Andes.
At the top, Wally gave us plenty of time to take photos and even pointed out the best spots for pictures. Afterward, we did a short meditation to connect with nature, which was a really special touch.
We were also lucky enough to see condors and even a rainbow, which made the day feel extra magical. Breakfast and lunch were at a restaurant with an amazing view, which was another highlight.
Overall, it was an unforgettable day with a fantastic guide. Highly recommend!

Very organized tour. We had great meals, comfortable ride and our guide, Tito, was very friendly and helpful. The lake is amazing and totally worth the trip. One of us used a horse for the steep climb.

Alex was an excellent guide! Well organised tour. Early start and a big day, but definitely worth it. The breakfast and lunch were simple, but delicious and all you need for the day. The views at the top of the lake were amazing.

What a wonderfully organized tour and such a great value! Our Tour guide Jonathan was great. He kept us safe and informed. The hike is difficult, I would highly suggest renting the horse for the trek up (90 sols). You will need the energy for the hike down which is quite long. Bring plenty of water, plenty of high calorie snacks, a poncho/rain jacket and hard-wearing shoes as it can be very wet and muddy. What a spectacular excursion, the lake is majestic and the hike up equally so. I will remember this forever!

Jonathan was an amazing guide, helped us all along the hike and was very friendly. The bus pickup and ride was very simple and comfortable. The hike is more difficult than you would think so make sure you are well rested!!

One of the breath taking trekking I have done so far, it was quite a memorable experience, I will always remember. 14km trekking was quite difficult, for those who are not used to trekking much can avail the option of horses (90 soles).

Extremely unorganized. Do not recommend going with this touring company. We were contacted the day before that pickup would be from 4:45-5am from our hotel in Cuzco. After waiting from 4:30am to 6:30am the tour operator finally returned our calls and messages to let us know they missed our pickup and we wouldn’t make it on the tour. This was our last day in Cuzco and we were really looking forward for the trip. I’m sure the hike would be great but wouldn’t go with this company.

A very good day was enjoyed; every moment was great. It was a very long day, though, and the bus ride was long and very bumpy, but it was worth it for the amazing hike and the view from the top. Our tour guide was also very good.

A frustrating experience from start to finish. To be clear, the lake is beautiful, the hike was challenging but worthwhile, and I would recommend seeing the lake, just not with this tour company.
Pickup was behind schedule in the morning, the van was completely full (17 hikers plus driver and guide), and we were rushed through a mediocre breakfast. Once at the trailhead, we were informed we had to hike within a set amount of time. 20 minutes to the first checkpoint, and then an hour from there to make it to lake. It became abundantly clear this time pressure meant nothing as some people in the group took nearly 2 hours to complete the entire hike. We were then allowed an unspecified amount of time at the top to enjoy the lake, take pictures, and relax. When it was time to hike down from the lake we were simply told to meet at the van. Whats the point of hiring a guide if they dont add anything to the experience? We then returned to the same exact restaurant for lunch before heading back to Cusco. I did not appreciate the unscheduled stop to "wash the van" we had to make which felt like a kickback scheme with the ice cream shop we stopped at. Like a said a fun, challenging hike to a great destination just not the best experience with this particular company.

The hike is not easy even for people with great fitness level. Although you can hire a horse ride that does most of the job for you.
The path is currently under construction and we had to walk for 2kms more to avoid it. The guide should have planned this better.

The tour was very nice, the guide (Heber) was super friendly and made sure everyone was doing okay with the altitude. The food was nice, also for vegetarians.
I had booked the tour for the wrong date and instead of the tour date, I booked for the day of the booking. When I realized, I could not change on Viator anymore, however after reaching out dorectly to the tour company they were super helpful and understanding and changed the date of my tour.

You can’t beat the price for a full day tour. If you are not athletic, take a horse! Your legs will be sore the following day if you hike. In general a good experience

Wanted to give more stars but I can’t do that when the company lies to customers! If you write tour includes maximum 15 person you need to keep your word! Some people actually choose their tour based on the less crowded one! This type of buses are super tight and it almost impossible to handle 20 passengers especially if we are talking about almost 6-7 hours driving.
Alex the tour guide was great and deserve 5 stars but unfortunately the company ruined the experience.

Humantay was closed due to an accident so we ended up going to Ausangate Glacier. It was fantastic. The tour guides spoke both languages, educated us on the sites, and the bus were super clean

Dangerous traverse of landslide where the road is missing. They don’t tell you about the extra 40min hike each way. Due to a landslide. And if it rains. Then the traverse becomes dangerous. With a sheer drop below it.
The guide Alex. Great. The food great. The actual trek difficult vbut worthwhile for the lake.
Be warned. The traverse of the missing road. Adds 2 hours to your day. And is very dangerous when it rains.

I would NEVER join any activity of this company.
Couple of days back there was a rock avalanche, blocking the access to Humantay Lagoon.
I approached the company 36 hours before the activity start time, asking if the tour will take place.
They ignoref my inquiry, and responded only at 3pm the day before, by the update the activity is cancelled and proposing a different day or a different activity.
They did it on purpose, to allow us (customers) to have little time to plan ahead for an alternative.
My questions to Chullos Travel Peru representatives (Yamile) about its unethical behavior were left unanswered.
This issue caused us inconveniences. Other than artificial apology, they did nothing.
I would NEVER approach this company.

Good evening, cordial greetings, we regret your inconvenience, however, due to rain, this route was closed. The authorities were working on reopening this place, which was 1 day before your tour. However, due to the rainy season, there was another landslide and for safety reasons, we canceled the excursion. We cannot foresee this type of weather problems.
