Incredible experience!! You can’t miss this tour when in Peru 🇵🇪
Our trip to Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley was an incredible experience and easily one of the highlights of our time in Peru. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and it’s an adventure we’ll never forget 🥰❤️ One thing we really appreciated was the early pickup. While waking up that early isn’t always easy, it was absolutely worth it because we reached Rainbow Mountain before the large crowds arrived. That meant we could enjoy the views, take amazing photos without long lines of people, and have a much more peaceful and enjoyable experience overall. The tour was also very well organized, and both the breakfast and lunch were excellent - far better than we expected for a day tour!! I especially want to thank our guide, Darwin. I experienced altitude sickness during the hike, and he was exceptional from start to finish. He was incredibly attentive, supportive, and calm throughout the entire situation. He gave me oxygen, checked on me regularly, and did everything he could to help me feel better. Honestly, it felt like he saved my life. I don’t know how I would have managed without his help. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made all the difference. I’m incredibly grateful to Darwin for everything he did, and I can’t recommend him highly enough as a guide. If you’re planning to visit Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley, I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the best experiences we had in Peru.

Don’t miss it!
Wilson was an incredible guide! He was patient teaching us how to use the quads and was full of energy, positivity, and knowledge. The ride through the mountains was incredible with a beautiful photo stop, plus visits to Moray and Mara Salt Mines! At the mines we were also able to sample local chocolate and salt.

Stunning lake of the Andes
First up guide Johnathon and our driver were great 10/10. Next the breakfast and lunch at the same restaurant stop were delicious with a spectacular view over the mountain range. Humantay Lake was spectacular to see and I’m glad I made it. However, this was no easy hike. I wanted to give up many times throughout the hike. We were given poles which were absolutely necessary. There was the option to pay to get a horse up. In hindsight I should’ve done that. Must bring sunscreen, wide brim hat and wear long sleeve top. I got severely sunburnt with a T-shirt on. The lake is gorgeous once you reach it. Just be prepared for the mix of high altitude, steep rocky incline and tired legs.

Amazing Guides, Incredible Views, and a Perfectly Organized Tour
This tour was absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru! We chose the 6:30 AM ATV tour and our pickup was around 6, and everything was extremely well organized from start to finish. A huge thank you to our guides, Rojelio and Yadira, and our driver/ATV guide, Arturo. They truly made the experience unforgettable. Rojelio brought such great energy to the group from the moment we were picked up. He was incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, and he kept everyone engaged throughout the entire day. You could tell he genuinely cared that everyone was having a great experience, and his positive attitude made the tour even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Yadira, who went above and beyond for my mom. She was nervous about the altitude, and Yadira stayed with her, checked on her throughout the hike, reassured her, and made sure she was comfortable the entire time. The guides also carried oxygen, which gave everyone extra peace of mind. Her kindness, patience, and genuine care allowed my mom to enjoy the experience. The guides safely guided us on the ATVs, explained everything clearly, and made everyone feel comfortable riding, even those with little or no ATV experience. The day started with hotel pickup, followed by breakfast at a beautiful restaurant with stunning mountain views, clean restrooms, and plenty of vegetarian options. After breakfast, we learned how to ride the ATVs before heading up the mountain. The ATV ride itself was incredible and is definitely the best way to experience Rainbow Mountain. At the end of the ATV route, local motorcycle drivers take you the final section up the mountain. From there, you can either take a very easy 5-minute flat walk or about a 10-minute uphill walk to the main viewpoint. After visiting Rainbow Mountain, we rode the ATVs to an amazing Andes viewpoint where we learned more about the surrounding mountain range and local history. We then returned to the restaurant for a delicious lunch before heading back to Cusco. Everything was extremely well organized, the scenery was breathtaking, and the entire staff genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. I would recommend this tour 100% to anyone visiting Rainbow Mountain. The ATV option makes the experience much more enjoyable while still allowing you to take in all of the incredible views. If you're trying to decide how to visit Rainbow Mountain, this is absolutely the way to do it!
