There is some climbing involved, but nothing too strenuous. My guide, Ulysses, was amazing...so knowledge, friendly, and funny, and Carina from Aremika Travel was on top of everything! Everything was perfectly coordinated...she even messaged to remind d me when it was time to meet my return train. It was a wonderful experience, and I can't recommend them enough.

I thought this was a group trip but I never met a group. I took a 4,5h train to Aguas Calientes (booked by organizer). In Macchu Picchu I had a private tour guide, it was just me and her. The views were amazing! Definetly worth the long trip. Plus I had the organizer helping via Whatsapp all the time. Though, if you're travelling alone and want to meet other people, this is not the best tour for that (since I never met really anyone).

This was a great tour. Of course it’s a very long day. You have to ride a car a train and then a bus but that’s just inevitable. You have to do it. The company gave me everything that I needed. Our guide was super nice and informative. And our driver was also very informative and kept in communication and throughout the whole tour.

There is a lot of changing from buses to trains, so check the package that you are getting and definitely do not forget your passport as you have to show it multiple times over the day. The experience itself was really good though, not as strenuous as I expected, but you definitely need to have reasonable fitness and be stable on your feet as there are many uneven surfaces.

Even solo and up in age I was able to do this amazing tour so why wait. Plan early, and I highly recommend Viator as it was my first use of their services. Everything was setup and had people on all ends to assist each step. Even the minor issues such as a tour guide who was ill was taken care of quickly. The journey is rather difficult, with multiple and complex transport changes, from car to bus to train to bus and the same way back. It’s challenging for someone new to the country. Machu Picchu itself is an interesting site.

This is a turnkey, end to end deal with all transportation and a guide included. Our guide, Ulises, was terrific. Communications were ultimately clear, but choppy and last minute, causing undue stress. If you are a person who is US centric, you better download WhatsApp because you will not get any emails on anything. We got WhatsApp messages the day before the excursion, even though we reserved months in advance.

Well, this was the most organized and coordinated tours I've ever taken. I travel a lot for pleasure and I take a lot of group tours. With all the moving parts and different people and entities involved, I was amazed that this went so smoothly. This was a door to door package from my hotel to the bus station to the train station and the reverse right back to my hotel - definitely worth it. All of your tickets and boarding passes are sent both to your email and your hotel (hard copies). I would highly recommend NOT doing all the different transportation methods piece-meal. This package eliminated the headache factor completely and WAS NOT a lot more expensive than doing it in pieces. Also, be prepared to do some step climbing - I wasn't prepared for all the steps that we had to climb but again, it was worth it. I would also recommend Circuit #2. It will give you the best access to several different parts of the complex for the money. If you want to cross off your bucket list seeing one of the 7 modern wonders of the world, I would definitely recommend this tour.

Tour was amazing. January weather makes is very mystical up there, one minute you can see everything, the next minute machu picchu vanishes in the fog. The bus ride was good, train was amazing with the views. We had multiple guides throughout the day. The final bus to Machu Picchu is a bit chaotic, on the way back it can be a bit hard to find your bus. The guide on the mountain was very informative and we heard lots of interesting stories about the incas. Be prepared for some walking. It's a magical place where you feel overwhelmed by the views. All in all, it was a great trip and I would recommend it to anyone wanting an easy way to experience Machu Picchu.

Everything each person expects to see and experience will come through on this tour and visit to one of the most magnificent places on earth, bar none. The tour was generally well organized except a few hiccups before boarding the train in Ollantaytambo. Staff didn't alert us clearly about our meeting point and it took three tries before most of us knew what to do and where to go. Given the large crowds, that wasn't a good formula. Nevertheless, everything worked out ok. Undoubtedly, a must for the young and the old. Coming to Perú and not going to Machu Picchu would be a crime.

Machu Picchu is amazing! Tour guide was great. The only negative part is that we should have stayed at the top to wait for the clouds to move or shift for better pictures. Our tour was 2 hours so we could have stayed at the top at least another 30 minutes. We had 2 hours to wait for the train.

Wow, what a day this was. Incredibly blessed with some amazing weather and for getting a solo tour of Machu Picchu! First, I got a ride over to the train station where they explained how they will pick me up from the bus stop (train doesn’t return to Cusco), and the arrival/departure for the train was seamless. With assigned seating, it was not an issue. And the views along the way were so an added value for the 4 hours. We then got off at Aguas Calientes which is the town before the buses up to mountain— all was superbly organized and meant to be setup for your timed entry. I didn’t have much information on who I was meeting and where, and my service wasn’t great up there so that was a little anxious but all worked out well. The guide was great, pausing at many areas along the way to explain, taking many many pictures and answering my questions. This was the most delightful experience with the weather, the guide, and never to forget views. I highly recommend this day trip (mine was a 1pm entry so clear skies) and worth it if you cannot squeeze two or three days.
