This cooking class was a truly unique and memorable experience! Chef Luigi was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Peruvian cuisine. Visiting the San Pedro Market was fascinating—we learned so much about local ingredients and their cultural significance. Back in the kitchen, the class was hands-on and engaging, and I picked up several techniques I likely wouldn’t have learned elsewhere. The food and drinks we prepared were absolutely delicious, and sharing the experience with fellow participants made it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching culinary experience in Cusco!

Really fun experience. Peruvian cuisine is amazing overall and it is nice to have the chance to cook with a knowledgable guide. We started with shopping at the market which was also fun.

What an amazing experience from start to finish. The market was very cool to see and it was fun to learn about all the different foods from all over Peru. Luigi was very knowledgeable and took all of our questions in stride. It was neat to buy some of the ingredients that we used later,
The atmosphere in the cooking space was great.
Starting with the pisco sour, it tasted so good. The fresh passion fruit juice was delicious. The Asian take of ceviche was very well done and it was nice that Luigi had a substitute for the fish because the texture of raw fish is not for me.
The alpaca was quite tasty.
Finally the fresh fruit parfait was a great way to end the class,
I don’t know if I have a single recommendation to make the experience better. Perfect from start to finish.

We met Luigi at the San Pedro market. We were taken to different stands and learned about all the elements that we would later use in our dishes. Everything was delicious. Most important to me, I was able to make a vegetarian version of the two savory courses. It was nice chatting with Luigi while we ate out creations. So happy to have booked this experience!

I love travel but prefer to try unique experiences to better understand a culture when traveling. This cooking class was a great introduction to Peruvian cuisine. We purposefully arranged this on the first full day we were in Cusco because we knew we wanted to do something but were cautious because of the need to adjust to the altitude. This was the perfect choice.
Going through the market to be introduced to various chilis, fruits, spices, etc. was fascinating and a feast for the eyes and nose. We then went to the Cooking space where we got to spend the evening with other travelers. We were all there for different reasons and from different part of the world. As we prepared each dish, we gathered around the table and experienced it together. The food was delicious and just right.
I have taken other cooking classes before - but most we were spectators. This class stood apart from others because it was hand-on. I expect I will be implementing some of these flavors and cooking techniques into my own kitchen back home.

Super fun and educational activity. Chris was great and his English was very good. It was fun to go to the market and have him explain what things were and how they were used. His studio kitchen was top notch and his instructions were clear and professional. The food we prepared was amazing! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Cusco. Make time to do it. This was so much fun and an incredible experience. The market tour in the beginning was interesting, educational, and super cool. Then the cocktail we made was absolutely delicious, the dinner was spectacular, and I loved the dessert too. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and funny, and he made the experience very memorable. I learned a lot about Peruvian culture and food, and I’d recommend this to anyone!

Our chef Luigi was very patient , funny, and informative. I learned a lot about Peruvian culture and food at the market.
All of our dishes that we cooked were delicious and even better than some of the restaurants in Peru that I had tried before.

We had the best time with chef Luigi and the other participants at the cooking class! Luigi was a great instructor, and it was the right pace of cooking and time between each course to chat with the other participants. We do a cooking class typically wherever we’re traveling and this is one of our favorites to date! Would absolutely recommend.

Personal cooking experience. Luigi is a great chef with a lot of information about local produce and Incan culture. Loved the your of the mercado and then making pisco sour, ceviche, alpaca with potatoes and fresh fruit dessert. What a fun afternoon!

Very enjoyable! A must do! Luigi, our Chef, is amazing! The marketplace tour was interesting and Luigi explained the ingredients in detail and answered all questions. Luigi even took extra effort and assisted my wife to feed a stray dog some chicken soup. Once in the kitchen we made drinks, appetizers, main course, and desserts. Luigi was an excellent guide and the food and drinks were great!

I was wary about a cooking class, but Luigi put all my concerns to rest. Not only did we learn a lot about Peruvian ingredients, we did most of the cooking ourselves. And it was DELICIOUS! I can’t recommend Luigi highly enough. His English was impeccable and he was very personable.

This was a fantastic cooking class, and Luigi was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful while taking us through the market and guiding us through making the dishes, which were delicious. He was also incredibly helpful when my wife was dealing with some bad altitude sickness, and made sure we were able to bring some of the food back to our hotel so she could have it later. Overall, this was a great experience and we would absolutely do it again.

This was such a great experience! We met at the local market and had a tour while we picked up the needed items to creat our meal. It was a short walk to the kitchen location where we made the famous Pisco Sour and then proceeded to make and eat each course while learning all about the local ingredients! It was a highlight of our trip!

We met Chef Luigi at the San Pedro Market for an educational introduction to local fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, etc. Then, we walked a few blocks to the Taste Peruvian Cooking Studio. We met up with a group of six from Poland, and the eight of us were the chefs for the evening. It was so much fun. Chef Luigi led us through making our Pisca Sour drink, a Ceviche app, an Alpaca and potatoes main course, fruit, and whipped cream dessert. The meal we prepared was fresh Peruvian flavors and we all ate every bite. It was a great evening and the company could not have been more enjoyable! We highly recommend this experience!

Guide had no enthusiasm or energy, I think he was on auto pilot, and tired of doing this. Unless we specifically asked a question he hardly explained or told us anything. We learned nothing. Cut up some fish, and poured some mix into shaker for a drink. I was expecting a local Peruvian home, but was a room, (kithen) and a room (with table to eat,) in an old building. Not a home where someone was using and living. But a space rented by the company to cook in .
Was a waste of our time and money. No conversation, and was on his cell a lot of the time while we followed him in the market.
Would rather have gone out to eat. All our others tours and guides were fun, full of energy and we felt special....(however, the civiche was good.)
BTW, this is my very first bad review.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! We had an amazing experience walking through the market and getting the behind the scene information and guidance on how to shop for the foods. The market to table experience was great and we look forward to the day we are able to return and do this again. The value for the trip is wonderful! 10/10 recommend!!!
