What are people saying about La Paz

Awesome Day of Adventure & Scenery!
It was a really fun day of biking and adventure! It felt like we experienced numerous different climates/landscapes in one day; mountains, snow, rain, cold, hot, humid, jungle, small towns, etc. I am an experienced biker, but my friend is not and we both had a great time thanks to our awesome guides....Damian & Alvaro. Both of them were very good and patient with the whole group. The guides proactively provided a lot of information, addressed any/all questions, thoroughly explained the itinerary and were able to communicate in both Spanish and English. All equipment was provided along with newer/maintained bikes. I have no complaints and I would definitely recommend.

La Paz in a Nutshell: An Intro to the City
The tour itself was fun, enjoyable, educational, and a great way to start our trip in La Paz. This private tour was definitely preferred over others because we went at our own pace without being rushed, had plenty of room in the transportation, saved time by avoiding the multiple pickups/drop-offs of a group tour, and were better able to share dialogue with the guide. Our guide Daniel was awesome! He was very thorough and provided us with a lot of information from both a historical perspective up until how things are today.
We would highly recommend this tour!

Option for a custom tour of Animas
The tour company worked with me to design a custom tour focusing on the Valle des Animas. The three locations in the tour title are far apart and with La Paz's notorious traffic it makes for a rough day. By just going to Animas we had time to do some nice extra hikes there and the scenery was stunning. But if you want to see all three locations, this company will make it happen for you. The guide was excellent.

A great experience - rate 4.5
4.5 because the driver and guide, they team in bolivia were brilliant - the team managing this tour behind the scenes are the ones who bring the rating down.
On the first night we were picked up on time in a car taken to the bus station and the service was brilliant. The driver made sure we had all the right instructions.
After a night bus we arrived at the next destination was able to shower and get started for the tour where we met Ivan our driver and tour guide he was brilliant, calm, funny and informative. I really appreciated him.
The views on this trip, on the road, on the salts, on the mountains were the most incredible and a memory I love!
BUT.....
The management team let the side down!
To start no one contacted me, I spent over $600 on a tour and boone contacted me, I had to write twice and eventually through viator, I got worried it was some scam!
Then the jeeps we were in were broken and uncomfortable, the seat belts did not work for us or the driver. The driver was brilliant, but he is not responsible for the tools he drives...unfortunately he had a lot of people complain to him about things, things he is obviously not responsible for, he works for a company who are clearly not investing in safety.
I share this to give a real picture, the trip is amazing, food and accommodation are basic as we are on the road in remote locations, the team there do a great job and I do reccomend this trip, but just know it may not be perfect.
Thank you Ivan and the team in Bolivia!

11/10: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Uyuni Experience — Flawless from Start to Sunset
Our visit to the Uyuni Salt Flats was, without exaggeration, an 11 out of 10.
We started the journey in La Paz, taking an overnight bus to Uyuni. The bus ride itself isn’t glamorous — it’s a necessary investment in the experience — but it’s absolutely worth it in both directions once you see what awaits you.
When we arrived in Uyuni, Constancio was there waiting for us exactly as planned. From the first interaction, his professionalism stood out. He immediately took us to a local hotel where we could have breakfast and clean up from the bus ride before beginning the tour. That thoughtful touch set the tone for the entire day: organized, considerate, and exactly as advertised — if not better.
From there, the tour began, and it exceeded every expectation.
Julia, our guide, was exceptional. Her English was excellent, which made the experience seamless and engaging. She was patient, answered every question thoroughly, and demonstrated deep knowledge of the geology, history, and culture of the region. Beyond her expertise, she was genuinely fun to spend the day with — warm, funny, and incredibly easy to interact with. On a private tour, personality matters, and Julia made the experience feel personal without ever being overbearing. She struck the perfect balance of professionalism and approachability.
Constancio was equally impressive behind the wheel. Navigating the vast salt flats requires skill and awareness, and we always felt completely safe and well taken care of. He was punctual, attentive, and clearly experienced. Together, Julia and Constancio made a fantastic team.
As for Uyuni itself — it is a must-see, once-in-a-lifetime destination. The scale, the silence, the reflections, the endless white horizon — it’s movingly beautiful in a way that’s difficult to articulate. It doesn’t just look stunning; it feels profound. The lunch in the middle of the flats and the sunset were absolute highlights. Watching the colors shift across the sky and reflect off the salt was something we will never forget.
Every element of the tour matched or exceeded what was promised. Logistics were smooth. Timing was perfect. Communication was clear. It felt premium, curated, and professionally executed from start to finish.
The only minor complaint was the bus ride — but again, that’s part of the journey and absolutely worth it.
If you’re considering Uyuni, stop researching and start booking. Go. And if you have the opportunity to tour with Julia and Constancio, you will be in outstanding hands.
Truly unforgettable.

Riding Death Road was an...
Riding Death Road was an unforgettable experience. The views along the way were absolutely stunning, and the whole tour was very well organized. The guides were professional, attentive, and made safety a clear priority at all times, which really helped us enjoy the ride with confidence.
Most of the route is downhill, making it accessible and fun even if you’re not an advanced cyclist. The bikes were in good condition and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bolivia and looking for a unique and exciting adventure.

A chill tour
If you’re looking for a chill day riding on a bus for 8 hours then this is your tour. Lake Titicaca and Copacabana are beautiful views. Isla de Sol is a small island to walk from point A to point B. Lots of steps for a steep climb. Our guide Nian communicated all that we needed to know. You’re in good hands. Chill another day if you are experiencing altitude sickness.

City views and a bit of history
A mix of urban tour, politics, socio-economics of the city, as we traversed above the various neighbourhoods, in what's now the largest teleferico system in the world. It gave us a glimpse of how connectivity plays a great role in bridging the wealth gap.
To be able to see the panorama of La Paz surrounded by the snow capped guardian mountains, is an added perk. Please bring layers as it does get windy in some of the stations at a higher altitude. The guides were with us in the cars on all rides

Personalized private tour in La Paz - highly recommend!
We had a fantastic time exploring La Paz! Our guide, Sergio, went above and beyond to tailor the tour to our needs and schedule. His communication was excellent, and his explanations were clear, insightful, and engaging. Our driver, David, was also wonderful—safe, friendly, and reliable throughout the day.
Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team. Highly recommend!

Nice private tour
A great private tour of Lake Titicaca and Tiwanaku. The guide and driver were very friendly and the car was very comfortable.
There is A LOT of driving, but that’s because you have to go far distances, so just take that into consideration.
The included lunch had a decent “buffet” selection that would probably appeal to most people.

Highly recommend
Fantastic tour. Well organized. Caters to people with different paces. They provided us with an excellent guide, eco sticks which were a huge help and snacks as well. The journey to the top is so worth it! It is like discovering an oasis in a desert. Highly recommend.

Interesting tour with some great food!
This was a fun experience and a great introduction to Bolivian food and culture. The guide, Matt, was FABULOUS! He's so enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and open to sharing what he knows and thinks of Bolivia.
The only negative is that the meeting point is unclear. In the email, I was told to meet in one place, but the actual meeting point was somewhere completely different. Luckily, I contacted the company and they responded quickly.
