All La Paz Tours & Excursions in 2026

Loved the door to door service of Joker Expedition. From hotel pickup at La Paz, to the bus terminal. The driver stayed with us till we boarded the correct bus. After 8-9 hours of travel overnight, another driver picked us up in Uyuni, drove to the hotel where we had good buffet breakfast. The hotel provided a room where we can rest a little and freshen up. In an hour or so, our tour guide Lily and same driver picked us up from the hotel. Lily is so lovable. She’s kind, happy, and takes the best videos and photos. She brought her small photo props and used them at our pictorials. She made our experience at the salt flats so memorable. I highly recommend her. We also had a good lunch setup at the salt flats. It was so surreal experience having lunch at out of nowhere. At first I was worried because my husband is vegetarian. Our buffet lunch (prepared by Joker Expedition staff) was so good. There was so much variety. After lunch we headed to more areas around the salt flats until it was sunset. We were so lucky that the previous snowfall a week earlier provided a little amount of water on the flat which had provided a good reflection for the photos. The moon shone at the opposite direction the sun was setting. It was absolutely an incredible phenomenon. Our videos taken by Lily were amazing. Due too much water in some areas we were not able to see the cacti in some island. But we were so impressed at the flats already so it didn’t matter. After our experience we drove back to the hotel. Waited a bit till it was near departure time. Our driver, Gabriel, also did a good job keeping us safe throughout the day. Then it was time to depart from Uyuni back to La Paz. Another 8-9 hours of bus travel overnight. Arrived in La Paz early morning and the same driver picked us up from the bus station back to our hotel in La Paz. The sleeper bus ride was a bit challenging but the whole experience was so worth it. Thanks Viator and Joker Expedition for memories we will cherish.

Amazing private tour with Santiago. Santiago was extremely friendly personable and knowledgeable and gave full background on both Valley’s as well as the history of La Paz. The fact it was a private tour meant you could do it at your own pace, and stop and take in the views for longer if you’d like. Would definitely recommend. Especially if you want one tour to showcase La Paz in one go.
