Our trip was cancelled the day before we were due to depart due to a national transport strike. We were given the option of going the day after the strike, or a full refund or to go in about 6 hours time in the evening. We chose the latter which meant we left Cusco at 4pm and got to Puno at midnight.
This meant we missed out on visiting the 3 attractions on the way but there was no reduction in price for us missing out and with it being at night there was no scenic view.
The coach was fantastic, by far the most comfortable coach we have ever been on with large reclining seats for the 7 hour journey.
A minibus had picked us up from our hotel in Cusco and taken us to the coach and in Puno we transferred from coach to taxi to get to hotel.
When we got to our hotel there was a wheel missing from a suitcase which had come off whilst the cases were being moved from one vehicle to another and so the cases must have been roughly handled for this to happen.
The wheel was found in the coach and we were told we could pick it up from the bus station rather than it be sent to tge hotel but it was now the day of the strike and there were marches and protests near our hotel and so we didn't want to move through these. Luckily the hotel came to our rescue and sent someone to the bus station to collect the wheel.
So overall the coach was extremely comfortable but the pricing issue and suitcase wheel issue will sadly be the things we remember

Dear traveler,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely regret that your journey from Cusco to Puno did not unfold as planned due to the unforeseen national transport strike.
While we’re glad to hear that you found the coach itself extremely comfortable and appreciated the logistics support provided before and after the ride, we fully understand your disappointment about missing the scenic route and scheduled stops — especially without a price adjustment. Your feedback is important and will be shared with our operations and partner transport teams to review how we can better respond to these types of situations in the future.
We also regret the inconvenience caused by the damage to your suitcase and the difficulty in recovering the missing wheel. Although the hotel was able to assist, this is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. Please accept our sincere apologies.
We appreciate your understanding under challenging circumstances, and we hope to have the opportunity to offer you a smoother and more complete experience in the future.

If you enjoy seeing life from a bus, then this is for you. The stated tour start time which is advertised as 6:30a, was actually a 6:10 pickup. The actual bus left the lot after 6:45.
The stops were all okay, and the lunch — cafeteria style — was good and presumably “local.”
Driver and guide were both satisfactory.
I had asked about seating selection well before the travel-date but was either blown off or told seats are randomly assigned. The bus was a 1.5 or double decker, and we wound up essentially 1st floor bulkhead — which are not seats we would have selected. After the trip started and we were settled in, we were approached and offered to be reseated “upstairs” but the seats would not be together. As we had taken the lemons and made lemonade (spread ourselves across the first row in the dungeon), we declined to move.
It would be nice to select seats, even if there was a nuisance upcharge.

Excellent guide, amazing spots for visit, the bus was incredible- clean, comfortable, just it satisfied all our expectations. The team- prompt, friendly, kind, patient, informative. Great experience with Viator. I reccomend it to you from my heart.

This tour was simply incredible. The tour was organsied well to not feel busy but also informative.
The coach was excellent and very comfortable (having spent a week doing other tours on minibuses) and the buffet lunch was incredible.
If you want some unbelievable views, then we would recommend this tour - especially if you are travelling from Cusco to Puno (or vice versa).
The tour guide was great, and fluently accommodating both Spanish and English speakers - thank you!

It's wonderful to hear that you had a great travel experience from Cusco to Puno! A journey through the Andean landscapes between these two iconic Peruvian destinations is truly remarkable. Having a tour guide who speaks English well and provides thorough explanations can greatly enhance the experience by adding depth and context to the journey. Thank you for recommending this travel route, and we hope you made unforgettable memories along the way!

This was an excellent and reliable way to travel from Cusco to Puno. Really enjoyed the opportunity to exit the bus occasionally to visit St. Peter's Church, some incredible ruins and the museum.

If you like the old western movies, this is the tour for you. You can see the openness and the emptiness of the land and mountains. You can see the small and old town, small street, small church. This is the reason that brought me to here.
Operations:
Pickup and drop off were on time.
The lunch was very good.

We were picked up from our hotel and transferred to a big bus which could seat around 50 people. The bus journey was comfortable. Lunch was good as well.
There were a couple of guides on this trip. Even though they knew that there were tourists who could only understand English and couldn't speak Spanish, they mostly communicated in Spanish. We couldn't understand half of what they were saying and felt completely left out.
We felt rushed in a couple of places too, were we would have loved extra 10 minutes to explore by ourselves.
On reaching Puno bus terminal, the guide asked us to take a cab by ourselves to our hotel. In our trip details, it was specifically mentioned that we would be dropped to our hotel in Puno. When we pointed this out, he was confused and clueless. However when we came out of the terminal, there was a person from the tour company holding our name plate, waiting to take us to a hotel. We're grateful for that. Not sure why the guide did not know this, and unnecessary created confusion for us.
Highly recommend the tour company to have separate tour groups for English speaking tourists and Spanish speaking tourists.

Nice stops making the trip easier. Good contact prior to the day & lunch was delicious. All pick ups & drop offs were helpful

We traveled from Cusco to Puno during December 2021. This tour is highly recommended and a very relaxed way of getting to Puno. They picked us up at 6:30am from the Hotel and then our bus journey started at 7:00am. The bus is like a business class flight with 3 fully reclined seats, foot rest etc and very comfortable. Their are about 5 stops on the way and 2 drivers and a tour guide. He was amazing. The owner of the toru company also came for a short while. They have breakfast snacks, water bottles etc. The first stop was Andahuaylillas which is a very pretty church with lot of gold leafed work and a must see; next we stopped at the little inka town of Raqch'i and there was small shopping area; next stop was the lunch place and it was included and very elaborate; then we crossed the High Andes Pass of La Raya ( 4335 m or 14000 feet). Our final stop was Pucara Museum where you can buy exotic capis coati coffee. We got to Puno around 6:45pm because the stretch from Juliaca to Puno took over 2 hours due to traffic during Christmas Eve. Usually they arrive between 5 & 6 pm. Overall an amazing trip and would recommend this tour over flight because it is very scenic and very comfortable and the tour company is great!!

This was a great way to travel from Cusco to Puno. The scenery was fascinating and ever-changing.bA comfortable coach, professional, knowledgeable guide. Lunch included.

We took this tour in May 2018. It was very well organized, from hotel pickup at Puno to hotel drop off at Cusco. We stopped at 5 or 6 places on the way, and had a guided tour of the sights. Our guide was very well informed about these places. The route is very scenic. Sufficient stops along the way for food and restrooms. I would very much recommend this tour.

One should not miss this tour if you travel between Titicaca lake and Cusco. The view on the road is great! The stops were definitely great ! The amazing churn and the ancient site are amazing!

Great trip from Puno to Cusco. We visited many interesting places and had a real good lunch as well. We had the hotel transfers so it was all very well organised. Must do for anyone.
Josef L, Jun 2016
Honestly this is the best way to go from Puno to Cusco. All the stops were tourist traps but we still had a great time getting there. There were five stops and two of them made the trip entirely worthwhile. Lunch was amazing too!
Yvonne_M, May 2016
I was a little wary about taking the Tourist Bus, but it turned out to be a great way to get from Puno to Cusco. Hotel pick up was prompt. We were delivered to the door of the bus, so there was no confusion. We were met by the driver in Cusco. All very simple... The best part was the stops along the way. We had a full day of touring, but didn't end up where we started!

Excellent way to get from Puno to Cusco. There were some alpacas at the lunch stop.
Rosie J, Dec 2012
Convenient easy way to get to Cusco from Puno. My only recommendation would be to shorten a few of the stops throughout the day because the transport was a bit longer than it needed to be and a few stops seemed a bit too long for the particular site. Otherwise, definitely recommend this tour.

The bus was confortable. The tour guide was very nice and providing a lot of information
