Wonderful experience
This experience was unforgettable. It’s incredibly complicated to get to and from Machupicchu, and our guides made it as seamless as possible. Our tourguide was amazing, very thoughtful and knowledgeable. This was an absolutely amazing experience and I would highly recommend booking with this team in the future.

10 out of 10
Without a doubt, take this tour, it’s the best one out there. It leaves earlier than the rest, so you reach the mountain when there’s no one else around. They’re punctual and very professional. Everything is perfectly organized. Honestly, it’s the best tour I’ve done in all of Peru. José Luis, the guide, explains everything clearly—what you’ll do, when, and how long each part takes (about 2 hours to breakfast, then another hour to the base of the mountain where the quads are). He also takes photos for you… 10/10.

Once in a lifetime experience! Beware of altitude (5,000m) Good food. Fantastic value.
Excellent experience. Everything described in the tour details on Viator was delivered. We were happy the Rainbow Mountain Travels company supports the local Indigenous community. Be prepared for altitude sickness as the mountain ( Vinicunca) is over 5,000m with 50 percent of oxygen level compared to sea level. Our guide Yaki accompanied us up and down the mountain. Food was very good and plentiful. Travel time to the mountain from Cusco was 2.5 hours each way. On the day we went, the cloudy weather meant the colours were muted. We had a great day. Fantastic value.

The perfect afternoon
With an outstanding guide leading the way, the breathtaking scenery unfolded majestically, and riding tandem on the ATV, I felt invigorated by the adventure and captivated by the opportunity to document our journey. The archaeological sites stood as a testament to the ingenuity of the Incas' sophisticated agricultural practices, making it an unmissable destination for anyone passionate about history and ancient cultures.

It’s no secret that the most famous Cusco day trip is to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. But Cusco day trips offer many more adventures beyond its star attraction. From the candy-colored slopes of Rainbow Mountain and the terraced ruins of the Sacred Valley, to the turquoise waters of Humantay Lake, Cusco’s surroundings are packed with day trip possibilities. With options to trek, ride a quad bike, or take an air-conditioned bus, day trips take care of everything so you can focus on enjoying the landscapes and ancient wonders of Peru.
