Check in could be more efficient. Afterwards there is about an hour dinner/fire show/sell pics which I get, but I was ready to leave. The cenotes were amazing. Our guides Miguel and Kevin were a 10/10. They helped make an already magical experience more fabulous. Would recommend to anyone that asks.

Great family trip in a nice smaller boat!

This was amazing! We took the optimal shuttle and it was a long packed ride so be ready for it (motion sickness meds). The traffic was bad so booking their shuttle gave peace of mind that they wouldn’t leave without us. The boat had only 16 people total (not 90-100 like the mega tours) and we were able to lay out on the front of the boat the whole trip. At check in please don’t overlook the port fee (which was more than our trip) but we were ready for it. It’s a short ride to where we snorkeled and it was just enough. There were a lot of fish and we even saw a turtle. The small group cut down on constantly being kicked by other people snorkeling like when we went in other larger trips. The equipment was basic but usable. You stay together as a group so it felt safe. Then we went to the southern part of the island where we had our lunch buffet. The food was basic (hot dogs, hamburgers and tacos) and good and there was an open bar. We had just enough time to eat and check out the Ice Bar (bar in a walk-in freezer) before we left for the north beach. While waiting to dock we were able to take a quick swim in the ocean. We had two hours on Isla Mujeres which was enough to either do some shopping or hang out at the beach. The ride back was nice and relaxing. My whole family absolutely loved the trip and would book it again. We initially booked another trip but it had bad reviews and was more of a mega catamaran with 80-100 people so I am gald I canceled and switched.

Outstanding Family Snorkeling Adventure!

We booked our snorkeling excursion with Extreme Adventuring Cancun through Viator, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Traveling with two 6-year-old children, safety and comfort were our top priorities, and the entire team did an incredible job making us feel at ease from start to finish. The staff was exceptionally attentive, patient, and friendly, especially with our kids. They took the time to explain everything clearly, checked on everyone throughout the excursion, and ensured we all felt safe and comfortable in the water. Their professionalism and genuine care made a huge difference and allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the experience. The boat itself was also very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything felt organized and professionally run. The snorkeling was fantastic, and it was wonderful to be able to share such a memorable adventure as a family. If you're looking for a family-friendly snorkeling excursion in Cancun, especially with young children, we highly recommend Extreme Adventuring Cancun. We would absolutely book with them again!

This experience was fantastic! Our guide was Santiago and he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. He has even done some recent surveying of the area for his masters! His English was very good. I have never kayaked before but he gave us a quick lesson before entering the water and kept things at a slow and easy pace for us. We made a few stops on our way round to discuss the ecosystem and wildlife. This was so informative and a really nice touch to just experience how still and serene the lagoon was. Santiago took plenty of photos for us and sent them all over at the end. This was including the wildlife, so we could focus on enjoying this activity. We had a brief pause halfway round to have a snack and some water but the whole experience was well paced. We saw plenty of birds and some fish. We were given the option to kayak through the mangroves too which made the experience feel very unique. I would definitely recommend applying insect repellent, even if you are wearing trousers or a long sleeve shirt and we did get bitten a lot, even with longs and insect repellent on. We would definitely recommend this experience.

Fun & Relaxing Excursion!

My wife and I an amazing day with Angel, his crew, and another couple on the catamaran tour. The capain and crew were very fun, friendly and attentive - making sure we had our fill of beer, Palomas, or other beverages. It took us about an hour to slowly cruise north along the coast to the shallow sandbar where we relaxed, chatted, and swam in gorgeous, crystal clear water (with NO sargasssum seaweed) for another hour. Back on board, we shared snacks and sipped complimentary tequila while chatting with the other couple and the crew. We had a great time thanks to the beauty of the Caribbean, the hospitality of the crew, and laid-back atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Very exciting and adventurous jet ski tour.

You go really far out on the jet skis, probably a couple miles. You get to go through the mangroves and then out into the sea. The snorkeling off the jet skis was a lot of fun as well. Just to be aware there’s a $20 per person dock fee that’s in the small written part if you’re unaware.

Crew and booking staff were amazing as always, we charter with them every year. Pancho is my personal favorite of the crew. This year we added the drone pilot selection. I recommend going with the more expensive tier and having the photographer on your boat. Otherwise the videos stop early in your sailing. We didn't know and most of our video is us just sitting around

Our speed boat tour ended...

Our speed boat tour ended up being one of the most fun and memorable parts of our Cancun trip. It was just the two of us and Captain Jose—an absolute cool cat—who took us out on the water for two hours of pure freedom. Even though it was pretty hot, there was something amazing about being out there on our own, cruising through the open water with the breeze and sunshine all around us. We were a bit bummed that the wind didn’t cooperate for snorkeling, but honestly, the experience didn’t feel lacking at all. Getting to see the Hotel Zone area from the water and explore the lagoon and its natural surroundings was such a unique perspective—peaceful, beautiful, and just a little adventurous. One small hiccup was at the end, when an Argentinian guy named Fernando showed us some really great drone photos and videos he took of us. He previewed everything on his iPad, and we paid $30 USD for the footage, with the promise that he’d send over a link. It’s been three days and we haven’t received anything yet, which is disappointing as hell. Hoping it still comes through. That aside, the speed boat tour itself was absolutely amazing—thrilling, scenic, and such a great way to experience Cancun from a different side.
