Our guide Shady was the true highlight of the tour. His deep knowledge as an Egyptologist brought the Giza Pyramids to life, explaining the mysteries of their construction in a captivating way. At the Great Sphinx, his storytelling added layers of meaning that made the site feel alive. The visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum was breathtaking. Standing before the colossal statue of Ramses II was awe‑inspiring, and exploring the modern galleries with the treasures of Tutankhamun felt like stepping back into history. Shady’s passion and expertise made every artifact more meaningful. We then explored Khan El Khalili, immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Cairo’s historic bazaar, surrounded by traditional crafts and handmade souvenirs. Another highlight was the Papyrus Gallery, where I witnessed how the very first paper in history was made the invention that unlocked the secrets of ancient Egyptian civilization. It was fascinating to see the process, and I couldn’t resist buying papyrus artwork for my home and gifts for my family back in my country. We also visited a Perfume Oils Shop, where I learned how natural oils were traditionally produced. His passion for Egyptian history was clear, and he brought the stories and history of the ancient Egyptians to life in such an interesting and engaging way. Halawani was also very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. He gave us plenty of time to explore, take photographs and enjoy the incredible sights without ever feeling rushed. He was always happy to answer our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The Pyramids and Sphinx were breathtaking, and the Grand Egyptian Museum was equally impressive. Having such an excellent guide like Halawani made these incredible places even more special.
