Great day however extra shops were unnecessary

We had a great day and our guide Khalal was very informative and friendly, he also took some great pictures of us. The pyramids were absolutely breathtaking! The only downside I would say we felt quite rushed and didn’t get much free time to explore. Also our guide took us to a different shops/factories on route eg. Papyrus shop, cotton shop, perfume and oil shop, spices shop.. we didn’t mind this however we felt immense pressure to buy even though we didn’t want to and then got attitude from the shopkeepers because we didn’t buy anything which tainted our experience slightly. These shops were not in the itinerary listed and we would’ve preferred to cut these out completely so we could have more time at the pyramids. Otherwise we had a great day!

No Viator guide came to pick up for the tour!!!

I arrived Cairo International airport on time and waited in front of terminal 3 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. My tour trip should have start at 8am. I provided my flight # and arrival time/terminal # to the agent online and then told the operator of the Viator. I also called the Viator while was waiting, he told me he was contacting the guide and would text me. However, no one from Viator showed up. I called again several time, but phone line cut off. I never get any responses message at all. I had to hire a driver to tour Cairo. For a short visit during layover airport, it is terrible to waste time to such irresponsible and un-trustable company. Then I got an email from Viator asking if I had enjoyable tour. Viator has no idea that the guide didn't take me to the tour. What a kind of joke!

Recommended-Great opportunity to see many things in a day

This day trip is highly recommended for people who wish to have a great time in key sights and care about listening to some very interesting facts about the history of Egypt. Our tour guide was Marwa and the driver was Hasan. MARWA is a very sweet person that really cares for what she is doing. She is also very helpful and kind and will not let you get overcharged for items of local markets. The sights were amazing and very interesting and the trip was not so tiring -having in mind that it has many sights in one day. The van was also amazing and comfortable.

Our guide was Isam Ali (I hope that is the correct spelling). He was fabulous. We were NOT rushed; he went at our pace, and he took some really fun photos for us. All our questions were answered regardles of the topic. There did not seem to be any lack of understanding for him or for us. We did not want to stop for lunch and he was happy to work right through the whole day. By the end of the day he was limping, but he just kept going pleasantly thoughtfull, extremely knowledgeable and graciously. Our driver He was excellent and forgive me, I have forgotten his name. How he managed to maneover as he did in the constant traffic and hooting was incredible. A day with these two gentlemen is well worth the price; a full 9 hours. That was yesterday, 16 March 2024. Today, 17 March 2024. We chose a different company and it was no where near as pleasant. Our guide could not speak much English and he did not understand most of our questions. We were supposed to be taken to a felucca trip and they pushed not to go so much, we gave up. We were supposed to have about 12 hrs and we got about 6 and a half. We really understand how fortunate we were yesterday.
