We booked this so that we would not have to deal with local taxis. They never showed up, did not respond to mesages or pick up their phone. Viator was responsive, but refused to refund our fees or provide an alternative tour. Stressful and lousy way to start a much anticipated trip.

Enjoyable but...

Driver and guide arrived promptly, which is appreciated. The tour went smoothly, didn't feel hurried and our guide, Abdul, was able to give information / facts and answer questions. He also kindly helped us take pictures and provided bottled water. Lunch was lovely, buffet style at a local restaurant. After the tour of the pyramids, there were additional 4 stops that weren't originally part of the tour, but figured it's a bonus. But I quickly realised it was an attempt to encourage purchases. There wasn't pressure to do so, which was a positive. Would have enjoyed the bonus stops if it was more informative. Even though tipping was outrightly requested, I felt compelled to do so, like there was an underlying expectation. Which begs the question what the $60+ I paid was for. Overall, it was a nice day out. I would say that anyone can easily DIY this trip, get a taxi to the Pyramids gate and get your own tickets. There's a museum that explains what you'll see and then hop on the free shuttle to the pyramids, easy peasy.

They told us the camel ride is not invluded and we paid 2500 egp As well as lunch it was 600 per person,we were 6 + 2 for driver and tourist total of 3600 egp.. our packsge was all inclusive

This was almost the tour from hell. They were an hour late and lied about the reason. The only reason why I went anyway is because I hadn't yet made alternate plans. They get 1 star because the tour guide was knowledgable, and the driver was good. Because I had to run out of the room, I forgot my cell phone. The guide, a lady who studied in London, took plenty of shots of me, and promised to email them. At the end of the trip, she greedily took the 22% tip and said, "This is mine. What about the driver?" I've read tipping standards for Egypt. In no way did I intend her to have the entire amount, and I told her that 20% was a good tip. Because I was tired and didn't want to argue, I hastily handed over 3 more dollars. I guess she wanted to teach me a lesson, because I never got copies of those pictures. I feel sorry for the driver, Alexander, because this tour guide doesn't care who she gives the shaft!

Our guide looked after us really well, and was happy to wait while I went into the biggest pyramid (which I bought my own ticket for) as well as the one that's included in the overall admission. We were glad to have a car and driver, as the camels are now situated at quite a distance from everything else. And the (included) meal was at a good traditional restaurant - very happy with that. Having a private guide meant we could do everything at our own pace and not have to keep up with the rest of the group all the time. Highly recommended!

Good tour guide, disappointing lack of time in the pyramids

The tour guide was great and met us at our hotel. She then called the driver who drove us well. We requested to have lunch first at it was 1pm and this was served very efficiently with a great view of the pyramids. The tour guide, Abla was knowledgeable and kind. However, we felt like we were rushed around the pyramids complex taken to spend 5 minutes in 3 different photo spots and then we left the complex and were taken to about 7 different souvenir shops. These were interesting, but this wasn’t what the tour should have been about. When asked to return to the pyramid complex we were told we couldn’t. And when we asked to go inside the pyramid we were told it’s closed in the afternoon. I don’t know if this was true or not, but it is was then this tour shouldn’t be advertised as including getting inside the queen pyramid. This was meant to be a 5 hour tour but in reality we spent less than an hour in the pyramid complex. Basically I left a bit disappointed due to poor management of expectations.

We had such a great time! Nabil was an amazing guide and told us so much information. He was very kind and courteous to us. We had a long flight so we opted out of a few activities such as the camel riding. George was our driver and he was also amazing. Lunch was great and we visited a few shops before heading back to the hotel.

Our guide, Mohamed, took his time with the tour. He was great with our small kids & was knowledgeable about the historical sites. Our guide took us to tourisity sites. We weren't pressured to purchase and learned more of the culture. Lunch was good street food that seemed frequented by local youngsters. Great tour overall.

Nice and comfortable tour but not fully satisfied

The tour guide came with a nice car with a dedicated driver and drive was very comfortable. Both driver and guide were courteous and professional. However the guide rushed us through the tour points and tried to get it done as quickly as they can. For example, when we get to Sphinx, the guide just stopped by along the road instead of going nearby where most tourists go and said the view is better here. I just agreed with the guide at that time and didn't go nearby and now regret I didn't. The guide also discouraged us on us going inside of pyramids because nothing to see there. The tour ended up in finishing in 3 hours even though the guide sent us to two souvenirs shops that were not a part of the itinerary. The lunch was very disappointing as it was a cheap street food for takeout and we're asked to eat in the car. They said that it was because it's Ramadan and no restaurant was open, which was true, but I felt like I didn't get what I paid for.

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Mary, and our driver, George. We were able to have the best of seeing the Giza pyramids, able to get up close and touch them, able to go inside Khafre’s pyramid. Also up close to the Sphinx. The camel ride was interesting, since we’ve never ridden a camel before. Lunch was delicious. We chose the traditional meal. Mary was very fun and informative. I highly recommend Go Discovery travel for the pyramid experience
