What an experience!
While one day in Luxor might seem short, you really get to see A LOT in that time. It's a long day (my pickup for the flight was 5:30am; return to hotel around 11pm), but particularly for those with little time in Egypt, this is a really great option.
The company managed plane tickets and all the transport really well. One minor wait but that's about it - in a day like this, that's pretty dang good in my book! And the communication throughout was very smooth.
Also a shout-out to my guide Sam - he provided tons of information about all the sites and the area and Egypt as a whole, and also had ready answers to all of my questions!
Also really want to highlight my driver in Luxor - Abd Rabu. He was just the most charming! He always rushed out of the car to open the door for me (I am a fit young man, so definitely not used to this :D). Together with his friendliness, that just made me smile over and over and made the trip just a bit more unforgettable!
Would highly recommend both this trip, as well as Sam and Abd Rabu!

Flew to Luxor from Cairo for an all day tour. Our guide, Ahmed Omar, and the driver Hossan did a great job. Ahmed was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Well organized and great.
The four stars are due to Zachariah, the tour guide in Luxor.
He rushed us so much and wasn’t letting us take pictures. We concluded later that it’s because he wanted to take us to souvenir stores, likely to get a commission on anything we buy, but it was unfortunate because he prioritized this over letting us enjoy and take pictures at the awesome locations in the tour.
We felts super rushed everywhere besides at the stores he took us to.

Overall, we were satisfied with the excursion. We were picked up from the hotel at 3:30 AM and the driver was punctual. However, until the very last moment we did not know who would pick us up or what vehicle it would be, despite asking several times — including shortly before 3:30 AM. The communication definitely needs improvement.
In Luxor, the driver welcomed us with a sign from Emo Tours Egypt. We were taken to all the scheduled places, but overall there was not enough time to truly enjoy each site.
At the restaurant, we ate the food not because it was tasty, but because we were hungry. I would honestly prefer the tour to cost €615 instead of €600, but to include a genuinely good restaurant with quality food. The waiter greeted us wearing an extremely dirty shirt, stained with food and drinks, which made a very poor impression. The only thing that was actually good was the baklava.
At the alabaster souvenir shop, we were asked $25 for a small candle holder. We did not buy anything there. Later, we bought the same items at Khan el-Khalili in Cairo for $5 each.
We are truly grateful to the driver, Hossam Al-Aqsar — a very kind and professional person — and to the Egyptologist/tour guide Mohammed El Tahibe, who explained everything in great detail.
Tip for travelers: buy your own water (it is cheap, around 10 EGP) and bring it with you. The three tombs in the Valley of the Kings are more than sufficient; the Tomb of Tutankhamun is very small and not worth it, as all artifacts are now in the Grand Egyptian Museum.

You cannot do Luxor in one day, but you can hit highlights with a great local guide Shreen and her local driver. She was accommodating and navigated the huge numbers of other tourists very well. We especially appreciated a different place for lunch for a small up-charge. We did have to get up extremely early and had a bit of a wait at the Luxor airport to get back, that was the only wish for improvement.

The tour team was always coordinating every step of the tour and we had some issues with the flight dates, and at the end of the day ot worked perfectly and they were very trustworthy; The trip was one of the best experiences and the guide was highly educated and wise about the information of the places and he provided all the answers to my curiosity. I recommend 100% this tour team and the agency. They always were thinking of my needs and they keep clear communication until the end.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we cancelled our trip months ahead of time. We never made it to Africa due to these circumstances. After pleading with the company we lost the money and had to take the lost. Not worth booking with companies who don’t understand hardships

The only thing worth the tour was the sights.
I was overall disappointed with the booking experience & communications to parties responsible for organising the tour.
Amendments to my flights and the tour itinerary were not communicated until the very last minute at all occasions.
They declined any requests for the advertised return flights at 6pm & 7pm despite having initially confirmed availability. They booked me on a 10pm return flight and after I insisted they changed it to a 20.35 one. That flight was then amended again without my knowledge the day before the tour to an 11pm flight which completely messed with the rest of my trip to Egypt.
The operator who contacted me on WhatsApp named Basma was very slow to respond to any queries and felt overall unhelpful.
When in Luxor, at the end of the tour, I was taken to a 2 star hotel to rest because the tour finished at 3pm and my return flight was at 11pm. The hotel was noisy, and felt unsafe as the balcony door wouldn't lock and there as an adjacent balcony to mine.
I found a piece of blue plastic as if from a glove, in my meatballs, at the restaurant which was arranged by the tour. I informed my tour guide and the waiter. The restaurant acknowledged the mistake.
The tour ended at 3pm and I was offered by my tour guide, to pay extra if I wish to see more sights. I am not sure if this is the standard so I just mention it to inform other travellers.
The car driver in Luxor, Ali was very helpful, polite and punctual and added a positive note to the experience. The drivers in Cairo were punctual as well. Both cars were comfortable and up to standard.
I would never book this tour though this agency again nor recommend it to anyone.

Our guide was super informative and took the time to explain the history before we were allowed to walk around the sites. This gave us plenty of time to walk around and take pictures. Also, the location we had lunch at was delicious!

Luxor is definitely worth visiting, but with less headache. Mine started when purchasing the tour: the description says that confirmation and plane tickets come after 3 days of confirmation, but mine I had to be in contact with the Viator/tripadvisor support so the agency would send us the plane tickets (we booked in advance so we would get good flights, not to leave it to last minute). Everyday they would lie and say they would be sending the next day and nothing would arrive.
The day of the tour, it was always a struggle to find the guides. They don’t hold papers with our names neither are waiting for us, we are the ones that always have to be waiting for them (never saw something like that). When I reach to support they are always rude or don’t even answer on a timely manner.
The tour itself was great but because Egypt is spectacular. The guide could rush us less and tell us more about history. The guide rushed us so much in some places that I thought there wouldn’t be enough time to all, but at the end we had more than 3 hours left and the guide wanted to sell extra tours. The cherry on top was that we arrived in Cairo exhausted and late at night, but despite my messages to the operator that we were boarding and later that we landed so the transfer would be waiting, they weren’t and once again they kept lying saying that the car was arriving or ignoring messages and calls. We stood outside in the cold for more than 40 minutes waiting for the transfer and dealing with the harassment of the taxi drivers (they were all the time offering rides and fighting for us so we would pick them, which was very unsettling) until when we got tired and paid for a private transfer - which now I’m asking for reimbursement from the tour since they were extremely disrespectful and rude at many instances but this was the last drop. Honestly, for this money + the tips you need to pay, you can find a better and more pleasant experience. This was one of the three bookings I had with this agency and none I would recommend for the lack of professionalism and respect.

Excellent communication, well organised. Azoma co-ordinated the flight and transfers. Ahmed (Guide) was very knowlegable and gave us a detailed insight into ancient egypt whilst maintaining a friendly, comfortable environment. The tour was so great we arranged to view additional historical monuments and tombs. You will not go wrong with Emo Tours. Thank you guys.

did not happen though i booked several months ahead 4 weeks back also they confirmed with me, the emo tour company that they are going to book flight, but texted me on 25th, they were no flights, we went crazy looking for other options as all flights were booked.luxor was a must see for us, so finally we gpt a train from giza which was almost 12 hrs, put us through lot of tension

Private experience with your own transport. Every thing is coordinated and arranged for by company or clouding the flight and transport to and from airport. You get your own private tour guide. We got Angie as a guide and Syed as a driver. Both were excellent and very flexible. Angie gave excellent recommendations and was not in a rush during the tour. She is very knowledgeable about history and the area. She knew all the security officers and ticket box workers at all the sites. She knows about all the good gift shops.

This tour is very complete. It covers all the emblematic places in Luxor. We arrived in Luxor at 7.20am and our tour guide Jose was already waiting for us. He took us to a very comfy car with a very nice driver and we started our day. The driver and Jose were both very kind. Jose knows a lot and his Spanish is perfect. We learned a lot with him. It’s a long day but we finished earlier and they took us to a hotel where we took showers and naps until driver picked up again to take us to the airport. Very recommended and Jose Sicomo our guide is amazing.

The tour itself was fantastic, with incredible sights in Luxor that are absolutely worth seeing. There was an unplanned stop at an Alabaster store that wasn't on the itinerary, which felt out of place. We were also made to feel guilty for not wanting to make a purchase. Nonetheless our guide and driver were very friendly. The day started early with a 3:30am pick-up, everything was wrapped up by 1pm, including lunch at a restaurant. However, our flight wasn’t until 7pm, leaving us with six hours to kill. The guide told us to wait in a coffee shop, which seemed odd—I’ve never had to wait that long after a tour. After raising concerns with the company, they arranged a complimentary hotel, but the experience there was awful. The staff constantly knocked on the door and called, trying to sell us drinks or snacks, despite us saying we just wanted to rest. On top of that, they charged for Wi-Fi, which was bizarre. The tour itself was great, but the post-tour experience was poorly handled and very frustrating. We didn’t get back to our hotel in Cairo until 11pm. So be prepared for a 20 hour day

My friends and I traveled to Egypt for the very first time in our lives. For our trip to Luxor to withness the wonders there we were assigned "Emo Tours" and OH MY GOD what a great experience! Our Driver Sayed was sooooo polite and always alert to help out. Our Tour Guide Shereen was IT !!! She was extremely knowledgeable and helps us with all the information and educational content we were craving! Also the took us to a restaurant for lunch where HANDS DOWN they have the BEST fu**ing "lemon orzo soup" I've had in my life. Very recommended

Read the negative reviews. Sharon was impersonal and disconnected from the experience. She rambled lots of history facts. But never related them into a story for the kids. I couldn’t even follow it. Felt like AP Workd History class. And the biggest issue—the ban had no A/C. We told driver and Sharon multiple times. With 112 degree Egyptian weather, I rolled down the windows to get air ventilation. And my kids and 81 yo mother all got sick from heat exhaustion. Don’t recommend IMO tours. Never pay money Sharon. Go with another tour company. This was definitely a negative experience and my kids will never remember the trip that could have been.
Negative stars all the way around.

Luxor is full of fascinating sights, but the quality of your guide can make or break your trip. Unfortunately, my guide Shirin was terrible and showed no interest in my experience. Here are some examples:
- Instead of accompanying me to the sites, she gave a brief explanation at the beginning and then went to the cafeteria, leaving me with "free time."
- She shared irrelevant data instead of interesting stories, like the weight or height of objects.
- Her English was incomprehensible to me (it’s not my native language).
- She was reluctant to answer questions, giving the impression that she lacked knowledge.
- She spent most of the time talking in Egyptian with the driver instead of explaining things to me.
- She didn't care about my water needs, so I had to buy water in expensive areas.
- She didn’t help with street sellers, just walked away everytime.
- She tried to take me to shops, which felt like a push for commissions rather than part of the tour.

In summary, my experience in Luxor was greatly diminished by having a guide who was disinterested, uninformative, and unhelpful.

Amazing trip from start to finish. Mustafa was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, regarding ancient Egypt history and Culture. He was informative, kind, and one of the best IG photographer. He knew all the wonderful spots to take pictures for us to have as wonderful memories. I would highly recommend Emo Tours and our guide. I would like to add the driver that day too. His name was Hamada. He even stayed with us until he could drop us off at the return flight home. In summary, we felt safe and had a memorable experience of Luxor Egypt.

This was an incredible trip and an absolute must do if you are in Egypt. EMO tours took really good care of us (we even left a phone in the airport drop off car and they came back to the airport with it). Its a long day so be prepared for that but it is very much worth it. Our guide Salwa was so knowledgable and shared a lot of interesting and valuable things with us. If you are going to Egypt and would like to do a day trip to Luxor to see all the magical things there, I can highly recommend this trip - we were all smiles around after this experience.

Started with an on time pick up from the hotel and drop off at the airport. Flight went smooth then when I arrived in Luxor my guide and driver was waiting for me. My guide was very knowledgeable and informative I learned a lot from her in that short space of time. Not to mention my driver just doing his job but nice and quiet. Its a private tour so Its just me, the guide and the driver. Its all up to you how many hours you wanna spend in each places you go but probably best if you can spend more time in Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple because there are so much to see and learn in those two places. Went to a perfume/oils specialist shop and Alabaster Stuff making community/factory. Had some Lunch as well. Most of the sights are short ride from each other so its not one of those bum numbing ride for the day. After a full day my driver took me back to the airport and the pick up guy and driver waiting for me on the other side. Door to Door Hassle Free Service.
