We can't recommend this tour enough and our guide was wonderful. There were 8 of us. 4 English speaking and 4 Spanish speaking. I was able to practice my Spanish comprehension listening to our guide repeat everything in Spanish. All three towns were fascinating. Clearly, we booked it to see Alberobello, but Monopoli and Polignano are must-sees, too.

What a fabulous tour from the moment we met until the very end! I highly recommend if you are ever in Bari!! I loved that the tour was small and intimate…. Fabio, our tour guide was one of the best I’ve ever had! He explained everything to us was very informative, kind, and engaging! If you have a few days Bari (and haven't rented a car), you should not miss this beautiful tour. Even on a cloudy day--like the day we had-- Monopoli and Polginano are stunning coastal towns, each with a unique character that will expand your sense of what makes Puglia such a special region. And then there are the trulli of Alberobello, which are truly a must! I felt almost guilty adding to the unfortunate touristic crush in this unique and formerly quiet area, but these houses are like nothing else on earth--and our guide Fabio helped make them meaningful by telling us about their history. He also took us into a trulli opened by its owner, who had grown up there in the '50s with his family. We also had a marvelous salad at the restaurant Fabio recommended--and mourned the olive trees dying around us as Fabio filled us in on the history (and hopes for renewal) in Puglia's olive industry. I have a new taste for artisanal extra virgin oil that I've been enjoying since. Best of all, by the time we arrived back in Bari we felt like friends not just with Fabio (who was a terrific host as well as a great guide) but also with the two other travelers in the car. Highly recommended!

Truly amazing trip. Our guide was very friendly and was taking us around the towns with a calm and professional atmosphere. There is no doubt that he had planned everything down to the smallest detail. Both the stories and the walking routes. There was also just the right amount of room for questions, and taking in the sights. Our tour leader knew how to adjust to our small group. This is by the best guided tour I’ve had and I hope all the best for the future of GoBari.

Our leader, Vincenzo, was wonderful. So warm and friendly and very informative about all three towns we visited. Nothing rushed but nothing missed. We thought it was great in every way. Our only complaint was to return to our hotel and find Viator had this exact tour advertised tomorrow for half the price they charged us!

Three sites worth revisiting!

Our first stop was Polignano a Mare where we saw the statue of Domenico DiModugno. The sculptor of the statue was there too! What a treat to meet him! We took a pretty quick trip through Monopoli which could use more time and then we went on to Alberobello. All three are definitely worth a visit. Our tour guide(Uvii?) was great! Very interesting to listen to and quite knowledgeable.

A beautiful area, but needed a better guide

It was interesting seeing the towns, but the actual tour was not very good. The guide didn’t ask us what we were interested in and took us to a few churches, showed us the beaches, dropped us at one restaurant for lunch without offering other restaurant choices and gave us just 20 minutes to explore on our own. The level of information we received from the guide was just as much explained in the handouts at the various spots we stopped. The driver, Paulo, was actually a much better guide and provided us more information about the areas we were visiting, Italy history, culture, and politics and answered any questions we had. I didn’t feel like this tour was worth it for the amount of money spent.

However, we would like to clarify some points to allow readers to understand better: - in small group tours the itinerary is already pre-established and the guide certainly cannot ask everyone for their preferences otherwise the tour would be unbearable in length. Therefore, in the future, I recommend that you purchase a private tour. - the restaurant recommendation has been given and I would like to remind you that in Alberobello the restaurants are all in the same area (one next to the other). In this case, you could have asked the guide for another solution that was more suited to your needs. Free time is always 60 minutes (on request we grant additional time) that customers can use for lunch or shopping. - regarding your considerations on the level of the tour guide, we prefer not to comment. The reviews with the highest ratings that we received from your excursion companions on that day are enough for us!

Fantastic Tour with the Fabulous Elena

This Tour was the best way to see Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignano. Elena and Valerio were absolutely fabulous, Elena was so knowledgeable, caring, attentive and funny. Elena truly made our trip a memorable one. The tour was small and personal and we had the best time. Valerio was such a gentleman and his driving, knowledge and humour was a great addition. Elena and Valerio make a great team! This is such a special part of the world and to be able to see and experience so many things in a short amount of time was Fabulous! The tour had structure but was also the perfect amount of flexible, in that we didn't miss a thing but also got to stop where we wanted and taste local foods and beverages ( if you are a coffee lover be sure to try the Special Coffee - ask Elena at the start of the tour and she will advise) Thank you Elena and Valerio, we had the best day!

My family of five from ages 8 to 18 plus my wife and I had an excellent experience with the tour. Our guide, Elena, as well as our driver, Valerio, were superb. Our driver even went out of his way to ensure he parked in the shade so that the van would be as cool as possible when we returned from a stop at a site (it was a very hot day.) Elena was very knowledgeable and kind. We saw all that we needed to see, but we were never rushed. She was friendly and informative. She was engaging, and we had just the right amount of time in each location. There was no part of the tour that was boring at all. I would highly recommend this experience! We also had very pleasant tour companions.
