We booked this Food tour for the following morning (11am) after arriving in Barcelona from the U.S. to give us time to recoup from travel. It was the perfect thing to do! Our guide Vincent (Vincenzo) was very engaging and knowledgeable not only about the local cuisine by also the history and knew his was around very well. The food spots he took us to were superb. Savory as well as a few sweets! It really gave us a good sense of the culture, history and a lay of the land. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience and more than I bargained for. Took part in the Montserrat Small Group Tour with Tapas and Gourmet Wines with the Cellar experience. The wine tasting at the estate after visiting Montserrat is definitely the add on that you want as part of your tour. Laia was an excellent guide and incredibly knowledgeable about wines. She truly the experience one that I will remember for a long time. Book this and thank me later.

Great tour with Angie

I can’t recommend this food tour highly enough. Angie took us to four outstanding local spots, each featuring a different Spanish wine paired with delicious tapas. Every stop offered something unique, and we left both full and with a much better appreciation for Spanish food and wine. What really made the experience exceptional was Angie herself. She didn’t just explain the wines and the different regions they come from—she also brought Barcelona to life through its history, architecture, culture, and local traditions. It felt like part food tour, part history lesson, and part cultural experience, all in the best possible way. The three hours flew by, the portions were generous, and the value was excellent. If you’re visiting Barcelona and want an authentic introduction to its food, wine, and culture, this tour is absolutely worth it. It’s one of the highlights of our trip, and I give it my highest recommendation.

Amazing cooking class!

I booked the cooking experience to learn how to make a good paella since I learned cooking seafood paella online. Our chef is Andres. First, we went to the Mercat and bought fresh large prawns, mussels, squid and cuttlefish (provided by the tour). Andres is very knoledgeable and very entertaning from the beginning. Told us some histories and facts about catalan, barcelona and of course the art of cooking paella. After the market, we went/walk to the cooking place. They provided us red sangria, cheese and different ham and chorizos which are delicious. Andres then now explain the steps of cooking. He gave us different tasks like one is cutting the bell peppers, cleaning the musvles and cutting the legs of the prawns. Then he proceed to cooking. I was impressed how he cooked the paella. When it was finished, we ate the paella. I was surprised that it was so delicious. It’s our 3rd time having paella in town since we visited and his paella is so far the best! Amazing and I highly recommended for first timers in Barcelona. We loved it 😍

This tour was a great experience. The folks in the tour were congenial, the food was tasty, but the best part of the experience was tour guide Albert. He showed us the heart of Catalan culture through the food, expressed exceptional knowledge of the food, culture, and history of Barcelona and brought us all together in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Fabulous Tapas & History Tour

Fabulous tour led expertly led by Juan who was so knowledgeable. I've been to Barcelona many time, but Juan took us down lots of side streets that you'd nornally just walk past, which were full iof character. Excellent history lessons along the way and the tapas was delicious. We even went back to one of the restaurants the following as the food was so good. 100% recommend

A tour not to miss!

Alan is amazing! Five stars does not do him justice. This was so much more than a food tour. Although food was absolutely delicious with choice of venues superb, Alan supplied us with his wealth of knowledge. Not only the history of the food but history of Barcelona as well! This tour is not to miss! Even if you have time for only one tour, THIS IS IT!

Xavi is the man!

Xavi is the best tour guide I’ve ever had on any tour ever. His knowledge + humor made this such an incredible experience. The views were incredible, the wine was great, and the people were the best. Seeing the black Madonna was such an emotional experience. The bus down was a little spooky but even with that, I would do this tour with Xavi 10x over. I don’t know if I can emphasize enough how Xavi made this experience so incredible.

We loved the tapas and taverns tour with Alex!! He was so funny and knowledgeable, and the history and food were exactly what we wanted. We loved everything about this and would absolutely do it again and recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona. Our only regret was doing it at the end of our stay in Barcelona - I recommend doing it at the beginning so you can visit all of their recommended spots!
