Begin your Spanish culinary adventure with a guided tour of La Boqueria, one of Barcelona’s fresh food markets, where your chef selects fresh seafood and introduces you to the vibrant flavors and aromas of local produce.
Then, just a short walk away, arrive at your cooking school in the El Born district—complete with an open kitchen, workshop bar, and cozy restaurant-style seating. Kick things off by preparing your own pintxos (a variety of classic Spanish finger foods) alongside flowing sangria.
Under the guidance of your bilingual chef, prepare a traditional seafood paella, learning each step from scratch before letting it simmer to perfection. While your main dish cooks, take part in a hands-on sangria-making workshop, mixing your own fresh and fruity jugs of the classic Spanish drink to enjoy with your meal.
Once the paella is ready, sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labor. A non-seafood alternative is available for those with dietary restrictions, and the chef is happy to accommodate food allergies or special requirements.
To wrap up your experience, receive a set of recipes and cooking tips to take home.

We had the most fun cooking with Luca. This was hands-down the best experience that we had in Barcelona. The tapas were wonderful and so was the sangria. Luca taught us things we have never heard of before. The paella was amazing! We would have done this cooking experience twice if we were not leaving the next day. I would recommend this event to anyone!

Until you allow yourself to experience it you wouldn’t know what you’d missed. Not only our chef , Kaki, was excellent but the sous-chef -one of the participants - topped the show.

Actual paella making was fun, but having to stand and wait in a crowded tiny bar for 20 minutes waiting for it to begin only to be instantly taken to another location 10 minute walk away ruined the experience

I highly recommend this experience! It was so much fun visiting the market and learning about the seafood used in the paella. The chef (Andres) was incredibly friendly and explained everything clearly. The sangria and tapas were delicious and the paella? Absolutely amazing! 🤩

My friends and I LOVED this experience and would definitely recommend it. Andrea, our host/chef/guide was so much fun. The class was the perfect balance of interactive, fun, low-pressure, and informative. Our group of 3 was joined by another small group of 3 that we loved meeting and getting to know over the course of the experience. Chef Kako met us at the market and we had such a great time learning the proper ingredients ro make Paella. He allowed us to look around the market on our own. Then we went to the kitchen and he cooked for us. Every step, he educated us on why and how to make paella. It was a great experience.

Luca was friendly and professional. His cooking and instructions were outstanding. It felt like a labor of love for him.
The class is offered in a small group setting around a large table - only our family and another family in the professional kitchen where the class is held. Luca first took us shopping for fresh ingredients at La Boccaria market. Back at the kitchen we were seated around the table while Luca made us tapas and served them to us. Simple but delicious.
He then walked us through paella making, including us in the process. He even made a vegetarian version specifically for the single vegetarian in the group (me).
I will come back next time I’m in Barcelona.

We had a lovely evening with Chef Andrea and our fellow cooking buddies! Enjoyed the quick trip to the market and learning about the different kinds of seafood necessary to make the traditional paella in Catalonia region. Then off to the beautiful kitchen to get to work on our dinner and drink some sangria and wine!! There were a variety of tasks to choose from to help prepare the paella, so no need to have a lot of experience cooking. We had lots of fun on this tour, would recommend this experience 100%!!

Chef Andrea was great. Very funny, entertaining and informative. It was very interactive. He made it clear we could be as involved as we wanted. Meaning if we wanted to just watch and drink Sangria, we could do that too. Everyone in my class was very hands on. Food was delicious! Thank you Chef Andrea for a fabulous afternoon.
