As other reviewers have said, this is a wonderful introduction to both history and food in Barcelona. I would highly recommend this on your first day touring the city. Adrian did an amazing job of explaining both history and food, and we had plenty of tasty snacks and drinks along the way. As a solo traveler, this was a great tour and we went to places I would have never found on my own.
I was especially impressed with his integrity. There was supposed to be a group joining our tour, but their plane was stuck in London. He went ahead and did the tour with just two of us, which made the experience even more impactful.

Adrian was punctual, entertaining and very knowledgeable about the Gothic Quarters. We had fun meandering through the quaint and narrow streets and shown the various specialty shops.
For tapas we visited 4 shops -
1. tasted turron in Vicens,
2. Two tapas and 1 Clara in the second place,
3. shared wine, fried sardines and cheese and tomato salad at the third and
4. wine, jamon and cheese
Will recommend it to anyone who wants to spend 3 delightful hours sampling tapas while getting an introduction to the Gothic Quarters.

The food on this tour is incredible! Great bites to eat and drinks at four different stops. Along with the history of the city, you get to know the streets and landmarks along the way. I only wish they would add ~15-10 min. onto the tour as a whole to have time for shopping in the market, as by the time the tour is over, the market is closed.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the food and drinks at each stop, as well as the history, streets, and landmarks along the way. We also really appreciate your feedback about the market timing—this is great insight and something we’ll definitely take into consideration as we continue to fine-tune the experience. Thanks again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour soon!

This was a truly amazing food tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and brought us on 3 stops to stop/sit and eat, plus La Boqueria Market! We went to eat, tapas, wine, meat, cheese, and more. One of my favorite stops was to stand only shop, that only serves three things, including crispy fresh fried sardines. This was the place that Anthony Bourdain used to go to. Truly was wonderful gastronomic and historical experience!

Thank you so much for this wonderful review, and for taking the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the mix of history, culture, and delicious food throughout the tour. It sounds like you really embraced every stop — especially the iconic stand-only spot with the crispy sardines (a true Barcelona classic and a Bourdain favorite!).
We’re delighted that the tour made such a memorable impression, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more gastronomic adventures in the future!

Adrian provided a brief tour of Mercat de Boqueria and the Gothic Quarter. The tapas tastings were good and provided some interesting stops I wouldn't have experienced on my own. He provided some anecdotal history of the food and a bit of city history.

Great tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting, the food variety was good and tasted really good. It was just the right length and right mix of history, local culture, and good food.

Great tastings of various tapas, sweets and drinks. Our guide, Adrian, was also very knowledgeable about the different sections of old town Barcelona.
Part of our group was delayed and instead of cancelling us or making us switch to another time or date, Adrian gave my husband and I a private tour. He was worth his weight in gold!
Highly recommend this tour!

Great way to experience Barcelona. Food was great, nice way to try different tastes while walking through the different areas of the city.
Leyton_W, Jul 2024
The stop off locations are great but hosting was average. We began the tour being told the guide was going to cancel as others had dropped out and he didn't do tours for 2 people which didn't make me feel very welcome. Everything was at pace no options to pause to look at points of interest. Bearing in mind this is July and warm when we asked for another drink for which we would pay the fuss was unnecessary.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Hi Leyton,
Thank you for your input, and we are sorry you felt unwelcome. I was informing you why you were the only people on the tour. Sad you took it the wrong way.
Regarding the drink, everything is all per-paid, so if a guest would like another drink, it is an additional cost, There was no fuss from our part we just informed of that fact.
we wish you all the best

Adrien was very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the whole tour. More tasting options than we expected, we were definitely full by the end of the tour. Not small portions. Whole family had a great experience

Our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) took this tour our first day in Barcelona and it was a great introduction to the city and food we’d be enjoying the rest of our stay. Adrian was an entertaining and informative tour guide. Come with an empty stomach because you will be enjoying several stops with delicious food. Adrian also provided us with recommendations for activities and restaurants we enjoyed the rest of our time in Barcelona. Highly recommend!
Catherine_T, Jun 2023
Have a back up plan! Our guide couldn’t get transportation so our tour was cancelled. While I understand “stuff” happens, it was frustrating to wait and wait then get cancelled. Also, I use these tours to get an overview of area and food scene so I can go back and revisit places. Since tour never happened (and could not be re-booked during my trip), was left to my own devices since I did not plan.
Daniel_K, Jun 2023
I can't believe I almost didn't do a food tour in Barcelona! Luckily another tour cancelled and I picked this one last minute. Our guide, Adrian, took us on a tour through the market while giving us a lot of different samples. Of course we ventured beyond the market and ate more.
Craig_F, Jun 2023
Adrian was fantastic and we learned and ate a lot. Great way to spend the afternoon and I highly recommend. Great for adults and kids.
Susan_C, Mar 2023
Definitely recommend. Adrian was fun and provided great historical stories throughout the tour. The food and people of Barcelona are fantastic!

There's no better way or person to do a food tour with than Adrian! Your knowledge, enthusiasm and love of Barcelona is so evident, it's infectious. My daughter and I both enjoyed you sharing the city's customs, tapas, pastry at Escriba especially, with us. We learned so much on your tour, wish we had been able to spend more time there. Thank you for for a morning well spent in Barcelona.
