Great Canal Tour!

We were a bit disappointed when Dave wasn't our tour guide just because the person that we received our recommendation from said to specifically book his tour. Giselle, the tour guide we had, did a great job though. We enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to others. Going early in the morning when the canals are less crowded is a must in our opinion. We were happy we decided to go early.

Others have said that you spend more time getting to and from Amsterdam, and that part is true. You have a nice clean air conditioned bus to nap or watch the countryside from while in transit. Once you get to Bruges, you are taken back in time to a wonderful and beautiful city. There is a lot to see and you’ll get amazing pictures. Take your time finding a nice restaurant for lunch. Some of them on them main tourist areas are just average. Use some of your bus time to locate a good spot. The tour guides are really good. Be prepared that your bus trip may be given in English and in Spanish. Don’t panic, Your tour in Bruges will be English for English speakers. Someone else will guide the Bruges trip in Spanish for Spanish speakers. Our trip was sunny and hot. The guide says most tours have some rain. Be prepared and check the weather for appropriate clothing and rain gear.

Bram & the fantastic country windmill tour!

We started out in the city, but quickly were out into peaceful country roads and along the water—crossed a couple bridges and went through small towns. We had 15 people in our group who were diverse and fun to talk with. We took pictures by the windmill and halfway stopped at a working dairy farm, where we saw sheep, Herons, cows, beautiful scenery and enjoyed cheese. My Strava app had it at 14 miles, but it was a very easy pace, and the bikes were in good condition. I highly recommend this. The history lesson & conversations with the guide Bram was also fun.

We took this tour with our guide, Luna, who was great! My only regret is that we did not do this sooner. It is my second trip to Amsterdam and had I ridden a bike here earlier, I would have had a better appreciation of the protocols. Otherwise, iit was my favorite experience in Amerstam (yes, better than Ann Frank!).

Captain Don and bartender Lemone were very knowledgeable and humorous in their narration of the tour. The umbrellas provided much needed relief from the 94 degree heat of the day. Drinks were provided and refills regularly checked on. Lots of fun and highly recommend unless rain is threatening.

Very nice journey, the guide was very helpful and gave good recommendations to go around the city. Very caring too, provided a blanket so I dont get cold, warm tea and even had umbrellas in case it rained. The information was short, but good for an overview/first visit.

We went with This Is Holland Hop on Hop Off tour company. Very easy to find the meeting point In Amsterdam. Was easy to find them afterwards in a sea of tour buses. The gardens itself was phenomenal and wished we were there several days earlier but we were on a cruise. I highly recommend going to the gardens.

The best way to see Amsterdam

It is walking but at a leisurely pace. Our guide Guido was very knowledgeable and made everything interesting but not like a lecture. We were able to ask questions and get our specific interests explained and the history of it all. Having them purchase our Anne Frank tickets made it so much easy so book early! We were there immediately after Memorial Day so we had some extra history and were able to see impact of war on descenders. Took a tram and had a pie and coffee stop. Great tour!! The non Jewish people in our group really appreciated this history.

Great activity for a layover!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. He had a bigger group to deal with amidst all of the traffic and such, and he handled it efficiently and still with kindness and good humor. 🙂 You will definitely want to make sure everyone is comfortable on a bike! Biking in Amsterdam was probably the coolest way to see it in this short amount of time we had on a layover come up but it did feel like being a part of bike rush hour! The locals bike fest and you are right amongst the other cars and people walking. What an amazing tour and I'm so grateful that we did it! It was our first time navigating our family in Amsterdam and it was easy to find from the station. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the bikes worked great!

Fantastic

this was the second cruise I've been on in the city. This was by far the best one. It was a smaller group, which made the experience much more intimate and enjoyable. The host (Chia Yu Chiu) was hilarious and made the entire experience entertaining with their great knowledge and engaging personality. They really knew how to keep everyone entertained while sharing interesting insights about Amsterdam. We had an amazing time from start to finish, and the combination of the smaller group size, the host's fantastic energy, and the beautiful canal views created a memorable experience. The canal cruise successfully delivered entertainment, education, and a welcoming atmosphere that made it stand out from other experiences. easy to find , got aboard and was asked which pizza we would like and had about 5 options, alcohol was included this consisted of wine or beer but soft drinks also included, nuts was also on the table To nibble on , staff on the boat was very friendly. We had a lovely evening the pizza was lovely but I would say , more information/history should be given as a lot of the trip itself the guide was not talking through which was a shame , canals looked beautiful at night and we are glad we done the trip

She was funny, extremely knowledgable, and is a real local of the area we toured. She had an excellent relationship with all the vendors that we visited.
