Just a perfect time . Valentina was vivacious, friendly and very knowledgeable. She made it enjoyable and interesting for both adults and children alike. The best introduction to Venice for my family but still informative for me who has been to Venice many times
It was a very good introduction to venice with lots of curiosities about the city! Flavia was very nice.
Started on time with an engaging and knowledgeable local. A small multinational group. Interesting content.
Very informative. Easy to book. Easy pace ending in St Marks square. We would book again with the same tour guide - Irena
A great way to see and hear all about the best bits of Venice island. Great guide, very passionate about her part of the world and gave us some great restaurant tips.
Good behind the scenes look at Venice from a person who grew up here..learned things we would have never known.
We had a great time during this walking tour. Valentina was knowledgeable and fun. She was friendly and inclusive.
I didn't rush into this review as I wanted to properly reflect on the experience.
I've done a handful of similar walking tours across different European cities, and this one was comfortably the worst. That's not to say it was bad, it just wasn't as good as those others. It all started when neither of the tour guides (there were two tours running at the same time) had my name on their list. After confirming I had indeed booked I was allocated to one of the two tour groups. Had I been given the choice I would have picked the other group purely because the guide seemed bubblier and much more engaging than the guide leading my group.
We were taken through the streets of Venice, stopping occasionally. There was never really much time to take photos without running the risk of losing the rest of the group. We also missed out on visiting places listed, such as the Marco Polo house, nor did we even enter the church which doubled as the starting point of the tour. The guide herself was friendly, very chatty, and tried her best, I just wasn't feeling it in the same way I have elsewhere.
Annelise took us around Old Venice in a small group and helped us navigate the crowds while fielding our questions. She was friendly, informative and helpful the entire time. We would certainly recommend this tour!
Val was great. She was knowlegeable and gave great suggestions for dinner. The tour is done with an FM device and headphones so everyone can hear whether you are in the front or back.
Tour was great, good history and little known facts about venice. Overall great tour, time went by fast.
It was good to have a historian as a guide, informative your. The guide was a local which is an advantage to take all the little hiden passages around the city
Valentina was a great guide - giving a tour of the many famous landmarks and history of Venice - but also the not so famous and more quirky landmarks and history - she also allowed us to ask many questions and didn’t mind running over time because we were all so interested. Highly recommend her - she was really good.
Good 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Tour guide knew there stuff and made interesting and gave list of where to good to go 😀
Daisy was so informative and interesting! We loved falling in love with Venice on this walking tour on our first day in the city
Tour was informative . The guide did a good job of guiding us and describing some history or tidbits around Venice.
Pros - Small group, good guide, different places.
Cons- lots of standing and not going into any buildings,
Great way to start off our time in Venice. Denise was wonderful. She made the tour fun, interesting and was engaging the entire time. Although the tour was bigger than expected, Denise had no problem keeping everyone together and she was able to answer any question. Highly recommend!
Lovely host who was well informed and delivered content well. Well time managed and very courteous to all those around.
Guide was good but did not PROJECT when speaking ; no radio headsets means these groups shoulld be 10 at most ; we had 15
Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and we saw and learned a lot! We recommend that the tour extends beyond 2 hours. We felt rushed walking and we did not have enough time to take the pictures we wanted to take.
The guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. Overall a good experience. The guide was able to impart interesting historical information about the development of Venice. The tour did not include all of the places included in the itinerary. Some of the participants were asking extraneous questions. The guide did not know how to deflect them, and thus the pace of the tour was somewhat slow.
Valentina is the best tour guide! Great tour full of knowledge and sights. Starts promptly and includes plenty of breaks if you need it.
We met the guide who was nice and welcomed us. My fiancé and I are history fans, and were a bit disappointed by the depth of the explanations. We found them a bit superficial at time. The most 2 egregious examples were : 1/ we ended the tour at San Marco, where the guide just gave us a couple of activity recommendation (no real explanation on the piaza, the buildings, etc.) 2/ the guide presented the inhabitant counter as an odd curiosity when it could have been a good opportunity to explain the demographic crisis that Venice is ongoing.
Great way to start our time in Venice. Denise our guide was knowledgeable, informative & fun all at the same time.
Wonderful introduction to Venice. We loved our guide, he was knowledgeable and took us through beautiful parts of the city we would not have found on our own. Highly recommend this tour!
Loved our guide! She was so knowledgeable and made the tour fun and engaging. The tour group was small and this made the experience more personable. Would definitely recommend this tour!
The majority of the time was spent standing around in the same pointless spots for 20 minute periods of time while the tour guide told ridiculous, meaningless, made up stories about the tree or water fountain we were visiting for 20 minutes. Everyone was bored to tears and anxious for her to stop talking so we could move from the standing position & walk around to see monumental sights. She did not take us to any of the important or worthwhile sights Venice has to offer. Half way through the tour several people opted out and left. How I wish I would've followed & left with them. The biggest waste of our valuable time in Venice!!
Valentina was our tour guide. She was amazing: knowledable and funny. She made our tour a very enjoyable one. Thank you Valentina!!! :)
Valentina was an engaging tour guide. She told many stories and pointed out places to go back to based on interests of the tour group. We did this on our first full day in Venice which gave us ideas for our remaining stay.
