Don’t hesitate to book this tour! We had an amazing evening with Giovannie. She gave us lots of information about the history of Venice as well as many stop to sample delicious Cicchetti. Every bite was paired with a beverage like wine, Prosecco, and spritz. We sampled, seafood, meatballs, baccala, risotto, sandwiches, and ended with a delicious tiramisu! Everything was absolutely delicious, the group was friendly and fun. It was an amazing evening and a great way to have a taste of many different delicious food in Venice! Don’t hesitate to book this tour. It was a phenomenal evening. You will not go away hungry!

Don’t hesitate to book this tour! We had an amazing evening with Giovannie. She gave us lots of information about the history of Venice as well as many stop to sample delicious Cicchetti. Every bite was paired with a beverage like wine, Prosecco, and spritz. We sampled, seafood, meatballs, baccala, risotto, sandwiches, and ended with a delicious tiramisu! Everything was absolutely delicious, the group was friendly and fun. It was an amazing evening and a great way to have a taste of many different delicious food in Venice! This tour was fun and our guide Daria was terrific! The food was plentiful and drinks yummy. Some of our stops were quite crowded because it was Saturday night but we didn’t mind at all. Tiramisu gelato was the perfect end to our tour.

Alcohol tour

What a disappointment. It was supposed to be a walking food tour. We stopped at two venues and a store in the fish market. There were no seats at all anywhere. It was the end of a very long day for the two groups of travelers within our group ,didn’t realize it would be so much alcohol and so little food. The guide said that our next stop was 20 minutes later so we wouldn’t begin walking for the next 20 min.We found it unacceptable and left early, also the tour was supposed to include gondola ride which we hope to get a refund for .

Our host Barbara was the best guide ever! She was fun, engaged with each guest personally and kept us informed and full for the entire tour. The food selections were amazing - if not a little excessive, but we certainly ate well. We were exposed to items we would not have know about were it not for this tour and it really enhanced our entire week long stay in Venice as we knew what we liked and where to find things. Best Viator tour ever - everyone should take it - come hungry and open minded - so much to learn and enjoy

The people in our tour were great. The tour guide Ludovica was perfect. She kept us moving and we had plenty of food from start to finish. I would recommend this tour to everyone. Great value and interesting tour plus lovely food

We wanted to understand more about the food history of Venice and this tour was amazing. A lovely mix of history, food and locations within Rialto, st marks and cannaregio. The story of Chichetti and Tramaezzeni as well as spritz and cuttlefish ink were all fold while eating the goodies. The inclusion of a gondola traghetto ferry ride from Rialto over to Cannaregio was a great way of experiencing a gondola. Our guide was informative and very good.

This was a fantastic way to start our visit to Venice. We did it on our first day, in the hopes that we would get recommendations of food and places to try whilst we were staying. And we certainly did. The tour is very informative about the history of food in Venice and also about Venice itself. Just make sure not to each much for breakfast, as within 10 minutes of the tour starting you're having your first bite to eat and first Spritz!! We had a great selection of food to try, and was great to have a local take us round the food markets and give us some insight into them and also how Venetians eat, and why they tend to eat small plates. Our tour guide was wonderful and happy to answer all questions that were posed to her. This is a great tour, and I would highly recommend it.

Great tour, obviously eat and drank plenty of fantastic food and wine. But it was very interesting as we got to understand about the culture of the city and the people there. Our tour started in the rain but that didn't dampen our spirits. Christina knew all the secret spots and was friendly with the vendors in the market. The food, its history and the wine samplings all added to a great tour. I only wish that we had more time .
