This is a great experience especially if you are looking for something less touristy and more unique. Alessandro was super knowledgeable about Venice and it's islands. We toured the southern lagoon where he provided great insight into the rich history of Venice and it's surrounding islands, before boating through the eastern district to see some of the more peaceful areas. He was also very accommodating with the snacks and drinks on board.

This was a fabulous tour. It was great to go around the lagoon and learn about the hidden gems on the island outside of the traditional tourist spots in Venice. Alessandro was a fabulous host and was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice! We highly recommend this tour!!

A worthwhile tour off the beaten path.

The not so good-The most memorable part of the trip was being asked to sign some legal document, written in Italian, while already out in the water and in the context of the Police. This was very strange and off-putting but later became a laughable moment. -1 star. Initially the guide was very disorganized and seemed to really struggle but eventually worked through it and got it together. Between that and the coolers constantly sliding around and having to be caught before hitting someone, -1 star. Although the listing does not specifically say it is a private tour, it also does not say it is not. It was fine that it was not but I would have liked to have known for sure. The good-The guide has a good personality, excellent English, a good sense of humor, and very thorough knowledge of his community. He expertly answered all questions asked of him, and provided a thorough amount of information about the sites and areas we were visiting. His vehicle was clean, large enough, stable and in good condition. His choice in wines was great, the wines were chilled as necessary and a sufficient quantity. There 10 people and only 1 beer thought which appeared to just be left over from a previous tour. Pick-up was worth 1 full star by itself, since it was about 30 steps from our hotel. Could not have been better. We waited less than 5 minutes before boarding and left on time. Overall I think the experience for the value was a great deal and I really wanted to give 5 stars, however, I would still recommend this tour to any adult.

Hello, first of all thanks for the positive things. But I have to explain to you (again) that the legal document that i have to make my guests sing every time, is not my choice, but the italian law. If i hadn't made you sign it the police could have confiscated my boat after stopping me for a random check. Maybe you did not listen carefully when i explained it the first time, but i hope it's clear now. As for the fridge sliding over, it only happened a couple of times because of massive waves caused by impolite taxi drivers (not my fault). Take care

A magic & memorable evening on Venice Lagoon

What a beautiful evening experience for our family of five. Allesandro was very welcoming and knowledgeable. A great way to orientate yourself of the Venetian Lagoon, the islands and its rich history. If you like Prosecco it was free flowing during our 1 1/2 hr boat trip. 🥂🚤

Alessandro, our captain and amazing tour guide made this tour. As a local, he knew where to go and the historic significance of all the locations. He also is very enthusiastic and had many charming stories. I would highly recommend this tour and would take it again if we were still in Venice.

We had an incredible time with Alessandro today! He showed us all the sights we normally wouldn’t have been able to see including smaller neighborhoods and the south lagoon. We had sparkling wine and chips, and enjoyed the sunset. Truly a great way to kick off our trip! We also had two small kids who had a great time as well. I’d highly recommend this trip.

Alessandro was amazing! We ended up having the boat/tour to ourselves, and had great conversation while he showed us the lagoon. Such a beautiful afternoon on the water, and so interesting to learn about Venetian locals and their lives now. The Prosecco and crisps were delicious!

Fantastic small group tour with a charming local

My daughter and I are first time visitors to Italy. I booked this boat tour based on the reviews of others, and it was excellent! Alessandro is a charming young man who shares Venetian history, as well as present day living, while cruising through the lagoon to places not traveled by other tours. We took the 3pm tour where Alessandro opened a bottle of Prosecco and offered us a snack. The tour finished at 4:30pm due to a 10min delay he texted me about before our arrival. This allowed just enough time for us to grab a quick bite at the sandwich shop next to the pick up location. If Alessandro were to buy another boat, I would recommend front facing seats rather than side facing. It wasn’t an issue to see everything, just a suggestion as your business grows…and it will!!

Alessandro was knowledgeable and open to questions/conversations. It was very enjoyable seeing and learning about parts of Venice that you’re not going to get with a trip down the more touristy canals. Our family had a great time. And the additional couple that we meet on the boat were nice. Well worth it.

No heads up of cancellation

The host canceled exactly at the scheduled time of the ride, however any heads up would have been nice as we walked 30 minutes to get to the pick up spot.

Hello Rubal, unfortunately i had to cancel last minute because the weather was getting very bad and it would have been unsafe to go on with the tour. I thought i had explained to you the reason for the last minute cancellation, and i am actually surprised that Trip Advisor allows this kind of harmful reviews in situations like this. Alex is the real deal

Alex is my new hero! He was kind, fun, knowledgeable and made my last day in Venezia very memorable. Alex chose a great route, giving us a view and fun facts “off the beaten path” with gorgeous views of the islands and architecture. He let us all take our time enjoying the sights and served up delicious aperitif e Prosecco. Grazie mille, Alex! I will not forget you!
