Very short experience. Never been on a gondola and we enjoyed the experience but it wasn't anywhere near the length advertised. Basically around the block! Fortunately by luck we ended up being the only ones on the trip which made it a cheap private gondola!

This is iconic experience and enjoyable. I was surprised it was only 20 minutes, however. We went at sunset which was great.

As great an experience as possible given the rainy weather! Much kudos to the guides for managing to run these in that weather. I just wish that, given the weather and the previous cancellation of the first booking on the original date (which again, completely valid), they would've been more proactive about reassuring us that the trip would happen and how to identify the guide (since on the day of, the guide was holding an orange flag instead of a sign, for instance). I had to call Viator a few times for reassurance on that front, which wouldn't have been possible without a local SIM.

This definitely tour definitely checks the box when it comes to Venice must do’s. Like all tourist traps it was overpriced for what it was, but very equitable to other companies/tours. The meeting directions were clear and communication was easy. Our Gondolier, Leonardo, was very pleasant and shared wonderful information as we went along the Grand Canal and through the more narrow, but still busy, smaller canals. We traveled mid January with our family of 5, and overall very pleased with our experience.
