- The official St. Mark's Basilica ticket price is €12.00 per person (standard) or €24.00 with Terrace access or with Pala d'Oro access; the remaining part of the price covers assistance at the meeting point, accompanied entry with a certified guide or host, access to the Venice Gallery with a dedicated VR experience, the use of an audio guide or radio system with earphones and sales costs.
- A valid ID document is mandatory for security checks at the entrance to the Basilica.
- Please be at the meeting point 20 minutes before the entry time
- If you don't arrive at the timeslot selected, you loose the ticket.
- For the visit of the Basilica proper clothing is required (no shorts or tank tops)

The Tour guide did nothing to enhance our experience. She did not introduce herself, nor did she explain the full use of the app! When I think audio, guided tour, I think that we will be given an audio machine and not required to download more apps on my phone! I was very disappointed in this experience

Unfortunately this was poorly run from the rushed, late guide to few instructions. It wasted a lot of our time. It was stressed to be 20 minutes early or lose your time, we were prompt but waited 20 minutes for the guide to come in then 15 more minutes for him to get organized. After trailing along in lines and waiting more time we finally asked him if we were free to walk around the Basilica and finally found we were, but only after we asked. The church was beautiful but I wouldn’t do this particular tour group again.

The basilica is incredible bit the Viator deal is a scam. $75 for one adult and 2 kids. All you get is skip the line and a tour book. And you have to pay extra to see things once you get inside. Simply go the basilica and pay 3 Euro for the same thing. This was a total rip off by Viator.

This self guided audio tour is great way to customize your visit. You can spend as much or as little time as you want. If you just want to experience the beauty and read the details at your own pace later you can. If you want to hear/read the history while looking at the site you can. Enjoyed doing at a pace that fit our family, and the app/guide is yours for as long ad you want. Good airport travel read to reminisce on what you saw.

The audio guide doesn’t work. Viator’s company who organized this had a poor WiFi system - disconnected entirely and couldn’t reaccess once arriving at the facility. I ended up having to rent one separately onsite.

You should know that booking on Viator DOES NOT upload tickets to your device. You MUST pick up tickets at another location using the voucher that you receive when booking.

Even with our reserved 12:30 time slot , we still waited in line for almost two hours. We left due to other plans. As a matter of fact , we wanted a full refund back.

I clicked on a tour to skip the line for S Marco Basilica for 23E and got charged $290 for 3 of us. I texted back and forth with Venice Tours and they said I selected the tour which I'm pretty sure I did, either way if I made a mistake, there should be a way to get out of it but I couldn't. I just wanted to see the basilica which we did and the rest of the 290Euro was wasted as I didn't do the tour. I would appreciate a refund as I've done about 10 Viator tours in the last 15 days with 2 or 3 others and hope that we can resolve this so I will continue to use Viator. Thank you.

Easy to use ticket, get your voucher from the kiosk near the Square. Saved a queue. Our ticket wasn’t for the museum or terrace so we queued and paid €7 to do that on the day. Basilica is incredible, worth a visit!

Really good, well informed guide. The inside of the basilica is amazing and well worth a visit After the tour, you are left inside the basilica to wander around at your leisure so you get plenty of time to see everything

The guide we had was so interesting and had a wonderful personality so it made it really interesting. It was important for us that it was a tour with a guide not audio on our own. Just a little confusing to find the tour office as Venice is not easy to navigate.

We booked a 4pm ticket. As a result we were rushed out of the church at 5pm, the stairs and view were closed. The audioguide never loaded properly despite many attempts. There was no reason they couldn't have issued the ticket and the guide beforehand to prevent last minute issues.

So, I thoroughly researched to find the right tour. This was not it. You would thin the title says it all, well not true. One, u got the ticket for the Cathedral, but what they don’t tell you is: You need your own headphones AND u have to download another app to hear the audio guide - NOT GOOD! Then, there r no signs to the History Gallery, BUT we found the Museum. What we thought was the gallery - it was not and they tried to charge us. There were too many “tours” going on which caused the whole place to get crowded, NO AC or air flow, and no fans at all! The whole walk through took literally 10 min w/out the audio tour. Will NOT recommend this to anyone!

Due to App not working properly, we couldn't find meeting spot. We were late.
Tried to contact customer service of Viator to give us either reimbursment or other tour, couldn't reach them.
We went to the provider of the service and asked there to give us another tour, they refused.
So bad
They are okay with taking the money but as soon as there is an issue which requred a little bit of understanding, they were not willing to show any.

I know people have mentioned that it is difficult to find where you pick up your tickets. We read the directions and other comments people left and it was super helpful. You pick up the tickets at the Venice Tours shop. It is very small, but the staff was super helpful, patient, and kind. We also used google maps by clicking the link in the confirmation and with those two pieces it was easy to find. The staff also explain how to download the app using their free Wi-Fi service. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to do so. This was a great experience.

The guide was not well rounded. She focused only on religious significance of the Basilica. She kept pointing to different scenes on the ceilings and domes, but we could not tell what she was pointing to. She had no significant information about the architecture.
Overall, not worthwhile.

excellent guide. She found us shade to stand in, encouraged to stay for golden hour. Would have liked more time in museum before or after vr, found it wonderful and informative on gondolas. I did like the vr. The check in should tell people to use the bathroom before.
