I bought this ticket over a month ago for the Dodges Palace and Basilica tour. The meeting time changed from 10 AM to 2 PM. The address is incorrect on my ticket. So I’ve been going all over Venice trying to find where to meet. I am now here 20 minutes before and nobody is here. This has been my worst experience with Viator and I’ve used them quite a few times in the past. Very disappointing.

The collection of the tickets from the shop was a bit of a faff! I was expecting them to be emailed but you are emailed a redeemable voucher and have you visit the shop to collect them. I like to have them beforehand but went over two days to collect but they said they weren't ready! Ended up getting them 30 minutes before the event! Am sure it doesn’t need to be that stressful!
Doges palace itself was interesting and included a museum entry free and a walk through the prisons and across the bridge of sighs. They have a cafe but you cant sit and drink at the tables you have to eat as well.

We had a great afternoon at Doge’s Palace in Venice. The process was smooth and convenient—we picked up our tickets at an office just a short walk from the palace and were able to use the priority entrance, which saved time. A very worthwhile visit and a great way to explore one of Venice’s most iconic landmarks.

When we booked, we received a voucher. The voucher doesn’t give you entrance to the palace. There were very unclear instructions on how and where to pick up the tickets which we paper. It took 45 minutes past our scheduled time to actually receive the tickets.
The venue, Doge’s Palace, is a wonderful site to visit, I just would not recommend going through Viator to get the tickets. Furthermore, there is an excellent audio guide that is available in the museum with your own phone and ear buds. You don’t need to pay for audio guide equipment.

The instructions for meetup are not accurate - no one ever showed up at the souvenir kiosk like it says in the instructions. The vendor was not responsive in a timely matter over chat and when they did just repeated the same incorrect instructions. I found a secondary ticket office and went there after wasting almost an hour. They did give me my ticket, acknowledged the instructions were wrong, yet didn’t seem like they were going to change them. Use another operator.

Doge’s palace was interesting. Unfortunately the signs explaining how to download the app for the audio guide listed a wi fi link that didn’t work and we were unable to download the audio guide app. We asked one of the employees at the site for assistance and this was not something he could help with. The experience would have been significantly enriched with the guide. We were grateful to be able to skip the line but otherwise feel like we overpaid for the experience due to wandering without explanation.

Viator app did not support my email client so I was unable to download ticket. I had to go to help chat to get ticket sent to my email address. I then went to the location specified by Viator to pick up physical ticket which was a dodgy vendor near San Marco square in Venice. I was then told quite rudely that I would need to go to Venice Tours head office. What a pain! Avoid Viator if you possibly can and go direct!!!

I never managed to find the guy who was supposed to exchange my voucher to tickets, and basically lost all my money and had to buy other tickets from museum directly. Worst service ever. Money lost. Never use viator

That it is a fraud. You think that you will get a ticket on your phone but you have to go somewhere to collect it and when you get to the place you have paid 35 euros for you find the official price is 15euros. I want a refund

DO NOT USE THESE - A BUNCH OF THIEVING SCUMBAGS! They promised us priority tickets but instead of sending is tickets when we were at the Doges palace we had to follow the link to pick up the tickets half an hour walk away so we missed our slot. We didnt redeem the £70 tickets but they took the money anyway. They refused to refund so its only me that is out of pocket, not the tour, not them, just me. FILTHY ROBBERS! Never again

The Palace was a great experience, so much history. I do wish however that the staff was more helpful and welcoming. They definitely had the “whatever” attitude. The museum tourist has never visited before and doesn’t know where to go so be kind.

I would not recommend it. Staff were rude and unwilling to help. There’s no audio guide as advertised. You have to use your own phone and use WiFi to download it which was taking 35 min to download. So we just walked around and looked at everything. Not worth the cost.

It was very good and very informative. The cafe is quite reasonable price with very nice staff. You need to allow pleanty of time to get round the whole place. It could be improved with photos added to the smart phone audio guide when the guide is talking about paintings etc.

The first ticket did not work at the Doge palace entrance, so had to go back and get a voycher from Viator again, take a new queue a and go to the Palaces ticket office. Poor experince especially if you pay for priority entrance and get opposite.

Do not trust the app to receive updates! Make sure to look for 'messages'! Do not despair about finding meet-up point - it is not quite where it was advertised but quite nearby! NB it is not always an office, sometimes just a person standing in the street without any obvious identification.

Great experience, beautiful palace. We had audio on our phone, each room easily marked. Only suggestion was we had to get our tickets at their office and was kinda hard to find. Why cant they be like all others and be mobile? We did get a chance to go to bell tower, wow.
