Overview

Cultural norms can make it difficult for travelers with tattoos to find an onsen that welcomes them. This private service gives you tickets and directions to an onsen in central Tokyo that welcomes patrons with tattoos. Enjoy this Japanese pastime without feeling excluded or embarrassed. Men and women can use the outdoor baths on alternate days, while the indoor baths can be used at any time.

  • Full stomach, hungry and dehydration can make you feel sick. Even if you want to take a bath for a long time, do it moderately. You can hide the front of your body with a towel except in the bathtub. Drinking alcohol, heart disease or high blood pressure, you cannot bathe.

Excellent experience

This was an excellent experience! Alissa (our guide) was on time to meet us and explain how things worked so we didn't make any errors when we visited the onsen. The Onsen isn't far from the meeting point and the facilities there are very good. We had a great first time experience of bathing, Japanese style. Would very much recommend this to anyone who has a tattoo (or more!) and still wants to experience this. The cold drink at the end is a really nice touch too!

Relaxing tradition

This onsen was a great experience- a perfect end to our time in Japan. Traditional and soothing. We wouldn’t have been able to experience this without Alisa’s guidance and instructions beforehand. The drink and present afterward was a lovely element. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful open air Onsen! Relax our mind and body while watching the Tokyo Sky Tree. Alisa accurately explained her procedure and we had no worries. The tower was so huge so surprised :-) Thank you for taking us to two places that we couldn't reach on our own. Also gave me a Japanese gift!!!

Es tal cual un Onsen tradicional Japones con todo lo que ello implica y si es amigable para las personas que tenemos tatuajes. Al principio tenia mis dudas, pero despues se transformo todo en una muy grata experiencia tanto por los amigos que hice (si, no solo van japoneses) como por nuestra guia que es un amor. Nos regalo 2 piezas de origami que ella mismas nos hizo. A mi y a mi pareja nos encanto la experiencia y nuestra guia!! Totalmente recomendada.
