We made custom keepsakes and marvelous memories

    Kiana_B, Dec 2025
This kimono art experience was a great way to end our Japan trip. The gallery was intimate and cozy, and the art inside was beautiful. Lena-san was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She told us about the elements in the designs we chose, which helped us understand their meanings. We look forward to putting our cherished art up at home. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in kimono, art, cultural heritage, or making a unique custom keepsake.

Dear Kiana, thank you so much for your thoughtful message ❤︎ I’m truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the gallery and the time spent creating your artwork. I sincerely hope that the canvases will bring back sweet memories of Japan every time you see them at home. It was a pleasure meeting you both, and I’m very grateful for your kind recommendation. Wishing you exciting travels and many beautiful memories ahead. Oh and thank you for your fun Tokyo sightseeing recommendations!!

I took a piece of kimono history, and art, home.

    Thierry_L, Sep 2025
Lena has a lot of experience in Kimono fabric and their history. It is a hands-on class so you will be the one making the piece you choose to make. You select a pattern first and then a frame style ( rectangle or round canvas), because the canvas style will mostly depend on the pattern you will be using, so pattern first and then frame style. Lena helped me when I needed it, but it was great that she watched over my work and spotted areas where I could improve, without doing the work for me. In the end, I truly have the feeling that I made the entire piece myself. I went back home not only with a beautiful finished product but the box she gave you to carry and protect it, truly looks like a gift box. So, you may think of someone else when making your art and gifting it to that person. The time spent went fast - because it was fun! - but it was enough to not feel rushed at all. I recommend this activity alone or in a group, but if you go with someone else, don't fight over the same fabric to use ;-) Lena has plenty to choose from. Enjoy as much as I did !

Dear Thierry, thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review. I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the hands-on process and felt a true sense of ownership over your piece, that is exactly what I hope each participant experiences. It means a lot to me that you appreciated the balance between guidance and independence. I always want everyone to feel supported while still creating something that is entirely their own. I’m also glad you liked the package! I love the idea that the artwork can become a meaningful gift for someone special. Time really does fly when you’re immersed in making, and I’m happy to hear it felt both fun and unrushed. It was a pleasure having you, and I hope your piece continues to bring you joy.
