Great way to see Mt Fuji and Anju the guide was fantastic. One area improvement is a little more structure during free time of what there is to see and do in town would have been helpful.

We had a difficult time getting to the meeting point; but we made it. The bus tour consisted of 8 passengers on a very big bus. The sites we saw; Mt Fuji from 3 different view points, boat ride on Lake Kawaguchi with beautiful views of Mt Fuji and then the aerial ride to Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway ride was great. Only complaint was that our tour guide did not speak English very well. There were no Japanese speaking guests on our tour. I am sure we missed out on a lot of information. But she was very sweet. Our tour was by Limon.
The location for lunch, Highland Resort was not helpful to our vegan guests. Ì

Operated by Limon, we went on a Thursday and the bus was half empty (yay!). Tour guide was friendly, entertaining and helpful. She would share facts with us about the area or Mt Fuji every now and then on the drive but not talk the entire time so we could relax. There is no toilet on this bus! There was a stop halfway to Mt Fuji where we could use the toilet and five minutes to get drinks and snacks. You need to keep your rubbish, so bring a plastic bag because there is no trash bin in the bus.
We drove up to the 50th station, it's a bit curvy drive up so bring motion sickness patch or eat ginger. We spent 1 hr at the top which was not as much time as I would've liked. We had to quickly go to the cafe, temple, viewpoint and shop. The women's restroom line was long and ran out of toilet paper, so bring tissue paper with you. Lunch was at the FujiQ hotel bakery and it was delicious.

I booked the Fuji Mountain 5th Station tour a couple of months ago, as it was one of the few options available to reach the 5th Station. Unfortunately, due to medical issues, I was unable to join at the last minute and had to let my 16-year-old son go on the tour by himself. The local Limon team could have discouraged me, but instead they respected my decision while assuring me they would ask the guide to pay special attention to my son, since he is a minor.
To my surprise, my son turned out to be the only participant on a bus designed for about 40 people. Despite that, the Limon team kept their promise and provided the full experience, including the 5th Station, ropeway, and Kawaguchi cruise. They took good care of him throughout, and he truly enjoyed this special one-on-one tour.
I also appreciate that they proactively helped me initiate a refund for my ticket, even though they still delivered the entire tour for my son. This thoughtful support made me feel reassured.
Although I wasn’t able to participate myself, it was a very positive experience overall. I’m truly grateful to the Limon local team for their care and professionalism, and I will definitely use Viator and Limon again in the future.

Pros :
Accomodating and service oriented tour guide in the name of Anju.
Very comfortable trip as Limon tour dispatched a big bus for us inspite of we are only 6 tourist.
Cons
Unfortunate that we didnt see the beauty of mt fuji because of the thick clouds.
It rained when at the top of kamakaguchi ropeline until decent.
Overall a satsfying tour experience compensated by the tour provider and the tour guide.

The tour was supposed to be an English guided tour of Mt Fuji. Our tour guide only informed us of the times we had to be back at the bus. When I inquired about an area, I was completely ignored. The restaurant we went to had poor reviews, the company perselecred the eggplant and mozzarella dish for me. When I informed the waiter that I don’t eat eggplant, he said that’s what the ordered for me and I couldn’t substituted for another meal. So, I had to buy myself a pizza and the restaurant changed me for the meal I already paid for. We never went on the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

This tour was a welcome break from our busy days in Tokyo. The bus was comfortable and cool even in the warm Japanese Summer.
And the staff was amazing. Our tour guide, Anju, was both professional and welcoming as she guided us around the different mountain communities and provided us numerous recommendations on where to get good food and coffee, which there was plenty. And our drivers did an excellent job making the drive feel comfortable and safe for my daughter and I.
The lunch we had during the middle of the trip (provided at a hotel contracted by the tour company) was a delicious 3 course Italian meal that was high level restaurant quality.
And the various stops along the trip, gondola ride, and boat provided us great opportunities to take pictures of the beautiful scenery surrounding Mount Fuji.
Overall, this tour is a bargain at the price they offer it at. Not only for an entire day of beauty on Mount Fuji, but really because of the kind and welcoming people running the tour.

Our guide Ike-san was great! Very friendly and took the time to teach us a little Japanese as well! We were very fortunate to see Mt Fuji the day of our trip since it had been raining the 2 days before. According to Ike Mt Fuji is a shy mountain that is often hidden in clouds but it came out for us to see so we were thrilled. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day trip and a great getaway from Tokyo to see another part of Japan. Highly recommend.

We paid for a tour rather than taking the trains out ourselves so we could learn about Mt. Fuji, Japan sights we were passing, etc from a knowledgeable resident. What we got was just a bus ride. There was very very very little shared. The tour was slated with an English language fluent guide, however the fluency was lacking, and possibly a contributor to why we did not get any information. Also, there is an option to get a reservation with food. We did not get this, no problem right? Wrong! The resort/hotel the bus stopped at for lunch had the restaurant for those that purchased ticket with a meal, and another restaurant that would not seat/serve us because reservations were required--even with empty tables. At no point was this communicated to us, so we ended up walking around the baron area, luckily finding a 7-11 that we could get some snack food at down by the nearby Fujikyu Highland amusement park entrance. We made some very brief unnecessary stops, which left little free time at the main stop. Another set back, we were in pretty bad traffic on the way back and there was never communication on the timing or issue, apology for the inconvenience, nothing. It was up to us tracking on google maps how much longer it was likely to take. Finally, this just informationally, due to weather the apparently only road that goes up to the 5th Station was closed, so the tour diverted to Oshino, with apparently every other tour bus. This was a day of our vacation that we wish had been spent differently. At least on a train you are: experiencing local travel, there is no traffic impact, you can plan out your meals and your own free time, there's no tour guide with you anyway. Our group was 4 adults and a toddler.

My Fuji view was breathtaking and the village Oshinohakkai experience was unique- the 8 serene ponds and amazing local street foods laced with Japanese traditions.. Kawaguchiko lake cruise and rope way was worth the wait. Some regrets- 5th station was closed due to snow, road trip was long and tiring with frequent bus-taxi transfers and busy Tokyo traffic on return. Also the tour operator modified the initial itinerary which included both Hakone and Mt Fuji, which shouldn’t have been done.

The guide could not speak much English and the bus was only used for half the tour then we had to wait 40 minutes for another bus. We then were so late returning to Tokyo we got caught in traffic jam and tour was over 14 hours 😩

Our guide Hiro was great! I would definitely take another tour from her! (Just not the company)
TLDR: we did not stay with our bus the whole day. We rode the bus to lunch, then took taxis twice, then waited around for another bus to pick us up to take us back (wasted 2hrs with this). Also, the pickup directions at the start of the tour aren’t good so arrive early or you’ll be left
My displeasure is due to the structure of the tour, which is Limons/the company’s fault.
Firstly, the written directions to the pickup should be written differently or include a photo. It should not say inside the building, it should say in the parking lot or to find the taxi sign when looking for the pickup location. We were there over 20 minutes early and circled around the pickup area a few times before we bumped into some other people on the tour and found the location together. Also, 9 other people were supposed to be on our tour, but we left without them once 5 minutes passed from the departure time. I’m not sure what happened but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were there but just couldn’t find the pickup area. So, if you plan on taking this tour, you should keep that in mind.
Secondly, the tour should have stated that we would be taking 2 taxis and switching busses. This was a huge waste of time!!! It was exhausting and detracted from the experience! If you carry around backpacks, waters, plan to shop, or have health/mobility issues, this tour structure will affect you. I would have booked another tour if I knew I’d would be like this. After the fist bus drop off, we had already bought souvenirs, so we were stuck lugging them around the rest of the day during lunch, on the excursions, and in the taxis because we couldn’t leave them in the bus. Additionally, we had to wait probably 2 hours in total calling taxis and waiting for them to arrive and then waiting for our bus to pick us up. It was ridiculous! The tour could be much shorter if the company just kept us on the original bus.

This day trip to see Mt. Fuji was such an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Sojiro, was very welcoming and great at explaining things as we started our trip. He gave us fun facts about Japan as we started off our bus ride to see Mt. Fuji. There was a rest stop little over an hour to use the restroom and grab drinks/snacks. It started to snow, so unfortunately we couldn’t go to the 5th station (which the road closes if there’s snow) and the ropeway was closed due to maintenance (which Limon tours didn’t inform us about). Other than that, Sojiro, took care of us and was very informative and helpful throughout the whole tour. Even taking our pictures of us! I would do this tour again in spring or whenever it doesn't snow to get the full experience. Highly recommend!

Not very much a tour but a bus for transportation. Our guide was very nice but there was no explanation in English as she didn’t speak it fluently so we didn’t really learn anything from the locations from the guide. The tour says there’s a stop at a roller coaster park, but this is only for the lunch option, which can’t be chosen for this tour so it’s misleading because the itinerary says it stops there for an hour. The places are nice, but be prepared to be in the bus for 3 hours each ride if you go during the weekend. Buses are comfortable though so that makes it more bearable. Also when you do the teleferic be mindful of time as the line to go back down is insane. We couldn’t do the boat ride because we didn’t know it would take so long to get back down but nobody warned us about that. Or maybe they did but not in English. I wouldn’t do it again or would just pick a tour with a different itinerary!

A well paced trip. We were lucky to see Mt Fuji at the 5th Station. As a person with mobility issues I was disappointed that our guide didn’t warn me that there were lots and lots of stairs within the Ropeway building, I would not have ventured up there had I been informed!

While booking boat ride and cable car tickets were shown included but they denied both during the trip. They could have given more time in Fuji than at the lake
